Our stay at this little getaway cabin could not have been better. We absolutely loved the cabin itself, the bed, the fully stocked kitchen, how clean and organized everything was, and of course the large porch with a stunning view. It is worth noting that the dirt road up the mountain to the cabin is relatively challenging, especially in the dark. BUT that can be easily avoided via a paved road that brings you up on the opposite side of the mountain (only takes about 5 minutes longer). We enjoyed the dirt road aspect because it really drove home the “getting away” feeling. We really hope we will be able to make it back to this beautiful spot, HIGHLY recommend!

The cabin was cozy . Just never expected how far you have to drive on a dirt road before you get to the cabin

The gravel road to get to the property was definitely a challenge. For sure would not travel that road in the dark. Loved the privacy of the property. Just FYI, there is a huge tree that drops black walnuts (the size of apples) onto the roof and it's very loud. Overall, enjoyed our stay.

The good: The view of the mountains was nice off the back deck. The bed in the downstairs bedroom was comfortable, and the bathroom was good as well (didn't use upstairs area). We enjoyed the seclusion of the cabin. The NOT so good: The exterior areas were not maintained. Weeds overgrown at the base of the stairs. Front deck had too many cobwebs and just wasn't clean enough. Several lights did not work or the bulbs were very dim...inside and out. There was a strong musty odor the entire time we were there. Maybe consider a de-humidifier. I sprayed air freshener but didn't help. It's apparent the cabin is an older one. It appears there have been roof leaks due to many stains on the interior wood, which would explain the odor. The towels also smelled strong and not very clean for me. There weren't any dishrags in the kitchen. Overall, this one was just ok.

Great Mountain View

Very comfortable, well kept, very clean. Back deck with mountain view. Host is very responsive. Since it is in the mountains the drive to it was somewhat challenging to me as a city guy. However the owner was able to tell us a way that has a paved road most of the way before the unpaved road to the house which made it better. I recommend taking your food supplies since it's not a quick trip to stores.
