We enjoyed our stay. The only downside is the train that runs throughout the night. The house is right by an intersection, so the train has to blow the horn as it passes over it. The owner was easy to work with and was responsive when I needed to reach out.
We arrived and the house was filthy! There were human hairs on the bed and dirt of some kind. There appeared to be insect feces on the sheets as well. There was a weird smell in the whole house. We actually left and went to a hotel at midnight. We reached out to the manager about a refund and never heard a word.
I booked this several months ago. The price was right since it was a new listing. I don't recall seeing anywhere that said there was an active train track in the back yard. Also, the kitchen was on the second floor. I saw that there was a dirty plate and fork left on the top of refrigerator and and we didn't eat any dinner in the house just microwaved breakfast sandwiches. Like the title suggests, we were out the door early and back late. It gave us our own space to sprawl out and be comfortable.
The price was great for a full three bedroom space and the location was awesome but it seems like the rehab could continue, including wires sticking out of walls, uneven heating and air flow, and a downstairs shower with an odd setup. The train is fully audible from the upstairs bedrooms throughout the night. Space was clean and very basic.

Disliked: Cleanliness, communication, location
There are several problems with this house that add up to making it inhospitable.First, this house was clean except for a hidden problem - ants. The four of us made two frozen pizzas and took a slice of pizza each to the table. We came back for more 10 minutes later only to find both pizzas crawling with ants. Later that same evening, we were trying to watch TV (the Internet service is spotty) and I found ants crawling on me. I contacted the owner via Vbro chat about the ant infestation. He said "Thanks for letting me know. We will take care of it." I asked for a discount because the kitchen was unavailable. He replied "What is the mean no kitchen available?".I told him we were checking out early because of his ant problem and he told me to leave the key in the box.Second, there is the train tracks feet away from the back of the property. There is a nearby major intersection and the train blasts its horn directly into the house. Unless you are used to a war zone, good luck resting with that going on.Finally, the WiFi service is spotty, making the streaming TV service unusable occasionally. Taken together, these issues make the property unlivable. I would stay away from this property.
Very disappointed with my stay. The house was not very clean. It was surface clean at best. It had a very unpleasant odor when we arrived. We chalked it up to the house being closed up. We arrived after 10pm and by the time we settled in for the night the bottom of our socks were black. There was a retainer left in the downstairs shower…. A retainer. We ran out of toilet paper by Saturday evening and we were only given one garbage bag. I’m sorry but if you’re charging 200 extra for “extra” people despite there being only 6 of us( my family)and that is how the house is advertised, there should be enough supplies to last us for the stay. And there was no outside garbage cans so the garbage had to stay in the house. Scary moment… when we arrived the lock code was already dialed onto the lock box! Great security. Oh, the house is very close(2 houses down) to train tracks. And the trains love to blow their horn! The house itself, was cute but they still have wires coming out of the walls so it’s not quite finished.
I paid for this house and the host messaged me and offered me the other house they had for the same price. When we got to the house it was only 55 degrees and took 8 hours for the living room to be comfortable. We didnt even stay in the rooms because it was so cold. There was a used bar of soap and razor top cover in the bath. One of the rooms didnt have a door knob there was toilet paper in the hole. The vent in the kitchen had dust and cob webs all in it. There was hair on the decorations. A used kitchen rag hanging on the stove. Dust and dirt on the kitchen counter. A loose board on the front porch. So many dissapointments with this house. It was cute but not worth what we paid for it!
Thank you for letting us park our cars in the driveway before check-in. The accommodations were clean and comfortable. With the extreme outdoor temps, we were so grateful that the air conditioning was on when we arrived and worked so well.
