About this property
Adirondack Cabin in Saranac Lake - quiet, peaceful, timeless
This cabin is an Adirondack, pet friendly cabin rental and is 3 miles from the Village of Saranac Lake. The waterfront cabin with screen porch and outside deck, has a nice sunset view and fronts the end of Kiwassa Lake/beginning of Kiwassa Outlet, which is part of the Saranac Lake Chain.
The two bedrooms have two double beds in one and one double bed in the other, each including mattress covers and pillows. Guests need to bring linens, blankets and towels.
Bathroom has a toilet, sink and shower stall as well as an outhouse for use as a 'second bathroom' for more daring guests.
The Living/Dining Room has two picture windows facing the front of the cabin with a view of the water, a double door wood stove, an electric monitor heater, a sofa, a dresser and a large table with chairs.
The Kitchen has a gas cooking stove/oven, refrigerator, coffeemaker, toaster oven, sink, cooking utensils, flatware and dishes (service for 7).

About the host
Hosted by Marjorie Cochran
We own several properties in the area and this cabin is one of our favorites. We have lived in the Adirondacks since 1991 but have been part-time residents since the 1960s. We even attended the 1980 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid! We can offer suggestions for activities unless you simply want to rest and relax in a cabin.
Why they chose this property
This is the most scenic area in the east! It is an easy place to rest, relax and enjoy life at a slower pace. Kiwassa Lake is an idyllic and quiet lake and most guests return year after year to get away from the hustle and bustle of a faster pace.
The cabin offers a wonderful deck with Adirondack chairs that allow guests to put their feet up, read a book and soak up the view of the lake.
Often guests will take in a sighting of our lake loon and its beautiful calls. Other guests have said they have seen eagles, deer, fish jumping, wild types of birds, etc…
