We enjoyed our visit at the Cozy Crab Cottage. The decor was fun and the house is decorated very cute. It had everything we needed. Wayne was incredibly helpful and offered suggestions for charter services, hikes, dining, etc. He was very quick to respond and very attentive to our needs. The hot tub was nice and the fenced yard was great for our pets.
Stopped here for one night on an extended road trip. The cottage easily accommodated our family, and we appreciated the host's recommendation for a delicious dinner. We all had fun discovering all of the crab-themed decor, kitchen gear and collectibles.
Wayne was an excellent, helpful and understanding host helping us to arrange to rebook at the last moment due to the tsunami warning along the coast. We're looking forward to planning out next trip to the coast soon and our stay.
Absolutely loved the property! Had a lot of character and charm. Hosts were very welcoming and things on the property were set up nicely and thought out for guests to have many memorable experiences. Would definitely return!
We loved our little cozy cottage and the host was great too! He gave us great suggestions on where to go when the weather was rainy and we wanted to sight see from the shore. The house was perfect for our family of 4 plus 2 dogs.
The crab theme is super cute! We caught a ton of crab!! (SO fun!)! We had friends over one night for a surf & turf dinner. We used the crab plates and lots of the crab themed things. Very cute & cozy. Wayne is very responsive and quick to answer if you need anything. He also suggested places to go and fun things to do which we appreciated.
It was great for our family. The photos could have been a little clearer before we got there but it was clean. The check in/access was so easy. It was a great price and location. EXACTLY what we were looking for.
This place is located in a great area for lots of things to do in Winchester Bay. Super fun crab theme! It was indeed cozy! The hot tub came in handy after spending the day at the beach! My husband and I spent our five-year anniversary here and can’t wait to come back!
We had a perfect evening stay on our roadtrip. The house perfect. The the top bunks upstairs are a bit close to the ceiling so really only suited for a small person. Our 5 year old was just fine, the nine year old had a harder time. But all in all, it was a lovely night.
The cottage is super cute and comfortable just like the listing. Great communication with the owner. The use of the crab trap was awesome. We will book another trip hoping for better crabbing.
A great little place to stay very conveniently located. The owners go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need to enjoy your stay. If f you’re coming to the dunes or have a boat there’s a long gated driveway for your boat or ATV. We have two small dogs the backyard was perfect to let them out. They have the best little coffee bar set up for you. You won’t be disappointed.
Came for a family crabbing weekend and to get all my kids and grandson under one roof. Didn't catch any crab but had a great relaxing time. The hosts commitment to making sure we have everything we needed was amazing.
We loved the property, just as described, hosts were amazing! We had a small hiccup that was attended to rapidly and offered an olive branch for our trouble! They were so nice and accommodating! The check in process was phenomenal! Easy in, easy out!
Overall, the house was cute, quirky, and comfortable. The wiring seems to be a bit on the older side (which makes sense for such a house). We tripped the breakers when we used an air fryer to make crab rangoons, but figuring everything out took a while because half the breakers were installed backwards in the electrical panel. My recommendation is to be cautious and to not use too much electricity at once. After that, we moved the air fryer to a different outlet and everything was fine. Ahead of arriving, the host had warned us about a broken heater in the dining room. As a result, we did not try to use it. However, awhile after we got all of the breakers back on, there was a very loud pop and a large array of sparks shot out of a broken heater (even though it was off). It was quite scary- my mother-in-law was standing next to it and the sparks landed on her foot and burned her. I notified the host about the dangerous situation (despite not using the heater), but he was unapologetic and dismissive, telling me that he had already told us not to use it. I explained (again) that we were NOT using it, but it still malfunctioned in a pretty dangerous way. It was a disappointing reaction, to say the least. The only other feedback I have is that the upstairs bedroom floor was covered in sand, which meant that we kept getting sand in our sheets, which was a bit aggravating.
