We’re glad to hear that this stay worked so well for a family reunion. The private lodge is designed specifically for groups who want space to gather, relax, and enjoy time together, and the indoor pool is often a favorite feature, especially during winter stays.
We take pride in keeping the home well stocked and prepared so groups can settle in comfortably from the moment they arrive. Thank you for choosing Scimitar Ridge Ranch, and we look forward to hosting future family gatherings, reunions, and group retreats at the lodge.
Spectacular property that is very conveniently located!
We loved our family time at Scimitar Ridge Ranch! Plenty of room to spread out for privacy as well as great spaces to congregate. We were charmed by the resident sheep and alpaca, and never tired of the gorgeous views. The location is both perfectly secluded and ideal for exploring the area. The Ranch was very clean, well stocked and comfortable, and the team was very responsive to our needs and questions. Highly recommend a visit to this beautiful retreat!

It’s always a joy to host guests who truly take in the full spirit of the Ranch—from the wide-open gathering spaces to the peaceful charm of our resident sheep and alpaca.
We're especially pleased that you appreciated the balance of seclusion and accessibility. That harmony between privacy and proximity to local adventures is something we take great pride in. Our team works hard to keep the Lodge clean, comfortable, and well-stocked, so knowing that it contributed to your stay means a lot to us.
Thank you again for recommending us—we’d be honored to welcome you back anytime for another unforgettable Pacific Northwest retreat.

The Scimitar Ridge Ranch main lodge is on a beautiful property with ocean and island views on the horizon. The Lodge itself is also a beautiful building, but has several problems. It is a great property for younger agile customers, but no so good for older folks with mobility issues. Their advertisement claimed they had an elevator, which is one reason that we booked it for a large multi-generational family reunion for a full week. Yes, there is an elevator physically present, but it does not work and we called to complain to the property manager, who lives in Florida. He said that he told the local maintenance guy to fix it, but the local guy said that the elevator had not worked for the past 2 years. Sounds like false advertising to me. Also the pool and hot tub are located one story below the main floor, so you had to struggle up & down the stairs for pool access. The entire pool area does not have a single handrail anywhere for access into the pool or hot tub. Most of these problems are possibly due to its age, built in 1992 as a private residence, with no handicapped access codes to meet. As a rental property, it really needs to be brought up to code. The main floor has a beautiful modern kitchen and dining room, but the central family area is a large sunken living room, not easily accessible for a walker or wheelchair. There is no central air-conditioning and June was pleasant enough, but July or August might get too hot? The local area is beautiful.
