The Modern Escape in Lake San Marcos is perfect for family vacations, golf trips, surf trips, legoland, wedding stays and remote work. Centrally located within 15 minutes of SD beaches, 4 golf courses, hikes, award-winning spa, Legoland and Carlsbad. Professionally designed and fully-stocked, this stay will check all your boxes for the perfect trip!

🏝 The Property
3 bed, 2 bath private home with designer remodeled kitchen, bath and open floor plan. Outfitted with luxury beds, fully stocked kitchen, work desk, TVs throughout and outside patio and grill overlooking the mountains. Includes coffee, dishwasher, stove, microwave, washer/dryer, heat, a/c, wifi, beach gear, and more. The primary bedroom has a king bed, 2nd bedroom has a queen bed, and 3rd bedroom/den has a twin trundle bed with another pull out twin bed below. Nicest modern rental in Lake San Marcos!

🏝 Restaurants and Lakehouse Resort
Walkable to two highly-rated restaurants - Amalfi and Brickmans. Also walkable to The Lakehouse Resort, which for an additional fee, offers our guests day passes to access 'The Lodge' which includes heated pools, tennis, pickleball, gym and a pedal boat for the Lake. Boats, paddleboards and kayaks are also available for rent. Spa at award winning Omni La Costa- a 10 min drive away. Note: swimming in the lake is currently prohibited (ok to paddleboard/boat).

The Links, a public 18 hole championship golf course, is walkable from the property. There are also three other 4+ star golf courses within 15 minutes of Lake San Marcos making this a perfect destination for golf trips.

My team and I stayed for a couple of days and the home was perfect. Not only was it in great condition but very very comfortable (especially since we had a demanding work days and early mornings). The beds were very comfortable and I couldn't stop talking about how great the towels, pillows, and beds felt. I would definitely stay here again in the future and appreciate the care they put into their home.

Beautiful Home, Would Recommend

The home was beautiful, just as pictured and described! The house had a basket of snacks on the table and stocked with games for kids, which my boys loved. It was very thoughtful making it feel like home away from home for them. We were very satisfied with everything, and communication with the host was excellent! Would highly recommend this property!!

Family of five, we were looking for a place in San Marcos for a few days. When we walked in the door we tried to book it for much longer. Unfortunately it was already booked. I would expect this place to booked solid because it is a great value. The hosts are extremely professional and timely with their communications. The view out back added a great element and the decor was excellent. I would book it again in a heartbeat.

As Good As It Gets!

One of the many hats that I wear is in Interior Design. I don't hand out compliments there unless they are incredible well deserved. The Owners of this property have checked every box and have hit the marks above and beyond reasonable expectations. Home design, decor, location...if you can book this home then you cannot go wrong!!! If something goes wrong with your vacation it will have nothing to do with the Vacation Home that you booked; that's my assessment!

Welcome to the beautiful community of Lake San Marcos. This is a walkable community that is centered around the Lakehouse Resort, which has drawn restaurants and vacation goers. It is a very peaceful neighborhood which is perfect for destressing and unwinding. You'll feel a nice California, lake-beach vibe, as you eat overlooking the lake or face off in a game of pickleball. And when you are not recharging here, you are a stones throw away from great beaches, hikes and activities. Enjoy!
