Paul was a great host! The property was very well maintained and located in a safe, quiet neighborhood. We had a great experience overall and would definitely recommend staying here!
Paul was a great host and always replied back quickly to any needs we had. The bus to Port Authority is within walking distance. There are grocery stores within walking distance. Very quiet neighborhood.
Super close to the bus stop! Easy bus ride into NYC for 4.10/person each way!Area felt safe, fun Mexican and Cuban-inspired restaurants and cafés in the neighborhood.Paul was always quick to answer your questions when you had them.Much more affordable than staying in a hotel in the city! And a nice break to get away from the crowds and noise in the city.I would definitely stay here again!
The landlord Paul is amazing. He’s very responsive and super helpful. The property was really nice. The only recommendation I would make to other travelers is to not bring a rental vehicle or your own vehicle. Finding a place to park is very challenging and I had my car towed. However, when that did happen, Paul made sure to help me find a parking spot in the future.

Upstairs neighbors were loud and stomped on the floor above us constantly. Including after the suggested quiet times. Back porch was messier than the pictures in the listing. The water pressure in the bathroom sink was almost non existent.

Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry to hear that your stay did not fully meet your expectations.
Regarding the noise, the upstairs apartment is also operated as a short-term rental. As with any vacation rental, there are occasional instances when guests become more enthusiastic than expected and may not always be mindful of quiet hours. While these situations are uncommon, we take them seriously. If we are made aware of a noise concern during a guest's stay, we contact the upstairs guests immediately and politely remind them to respect the house rules and be considerate of neighboring guests who may have different schedules. We are committed to addressing these situations promptly whenever they arise.
We also appreciate your comments regarding the rear patio and the bathroom sink. Since your stay, the patio has been cleaned and refreshed, and the bathroom has been completely renovated, including improvements to the sink, plumbing, and overall layout. We continuously invest in maintaining and upgrading the property to provide the best possible experience for our guests.
We value all constructive feedback and remain committed to providing an accurate listing, a clean and comfortable stay, and responsive hospitality. We are grateful to have welcomed thousands of guests over the years while consistently maintaining Superhost status, and we appreciate every opportunity to continue improving.
The apartment was clean and had all of the necessities. Except it needs more bath towels, wash cloths and kitchen towels. Its location was out of the way for our itinerary. But not being familiar with the area we should have looked closer to our points of interest. The apartment has a patio which is a nice amenity, however it was dirty, unkempt and could definitely use an upgrade. I give this VRBO a 3 out of 5
Overall experience is great. Great communication and location is very convenient with some nice eating options nearby as well!Things to know- *If taking bus options (in and out of NYC'S Port Authority): walking from the bus stop to the place is not far- but parts of it are slightly uphill. *The place is on the first floor but the first floor is up some steep steps.I would stay again!
We had a wonderful stay at this apartment. We really appreciated the owner’s kindness and friendliness, which made us feel very welcome from the start. The apartment was spotless and very well maintained. The location is excellent, and we especially valued how easy it was to get to New York City by bus—the connectivity is fantastic.Overall, we were very happy with our stay and would definitely recommend it.
Very clean apartment. The information listed on Vrbo was a little confusing. Laundry was listed as an amenity but its a laundry mat at the end of the street. VRBO has the check out time as 11 but the host put 10. The upstairs unit was quite but you can hear everything. It was a safe clean apartment for a family of 4 but I wish the communication was clearer. The area is very friendly and getting into nyc was eaay everyday.
I think we found our spot when we want to visit the city! The apartment was very comfortable and clean. Lots of stores and restaurants are just a short walk or drive away. We felt safe in this area, even at night. The views of the NYC skyline are a short walk away and are absolutely stunning at night! Paul was very responsive to any questions we had and was very helpful.
Highly recommend! Great location, close to the bus stop to take into NYC, cozy stay, and communication and help was great with the owner. Very nice people. The only recommendation I’d add would be make sure you arrive to park before 5/6pm because parking in the evening is next to impossible. We thankfully found a public parking ramp and parked in there and took an Uber back because we arrived late.
Pros: Clean, comfortable beds. Decent location to park and transportation facilities.Con: access to the other bedroom is through the first bedroom. Outdoor stairs are somewhat challenging for older guests.

Disliked: Listing accuracy
The property was not well represented by the photos provided. Most important, is that there was no mention in the listing about the two tiers of concrete stairs out front from the street level to access the unit that are very difficult to maneuver for anyone with mobility issues and there is no access for those with disabilities or those that need a wheelchair. The host was very gracious and personable though there was some confusion as to our reservation. The rear patio space is very messy and dirty and was not something we were interested in utilizing and the adjacent properties were disheveled and an eyesore. The commute to New York is not the easiest and Lyft and Uber prices varied greatly depending on time of day and tunnel use. While this is not under the control of the host it does weigh on the use of the apt especially if it is a choice for lower cost vs. the same in NY. The bathroom space is very tight and the kitchen could benefit from a newer style Keurig coffee maker for ease of use for guests. We made great use of the 7-Eleven that was less than half a block away for our early morning coffee to get our day started so that we could get to other food choices in the area where better coffee was offered. The area seems to be in an older section of NJ and is a predominantly Latin community so the food choices are primarily those of Latin, Colombian and Mexican choices. If walking is not problematic, there is plenty of places within walking distance.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're sorry to hear that our property did not fully meet your expectations.
We understand that accessibility is an important consideration for some travelers. The property is located in a classic urban neighborhood, and the front entrance is accessed by exterior stairs, which are visible in the listing photos. While the apartment is not advertised as wheelchair accessible, we encourage guests with mobility concerns to contact us before booking so we can answer any questions and ensure the property is a good fit.
Since your stay, the apartment has undergone significant renovations. The bathroom and kitchen have been completely remodeled, and the interior layout has been redesigned to create a more spacious and functional floor plan. The former living room has been converted into a modern kitchen and a separate bedroom, while the original large bedroom has been transformed into a comfortable living room, creating a more practical and enjoyable space for our guests.
Regarding the neighborhood, it reflects the character and diversity of this historic area of New Jersey, with many locally owned Latin American restaurants, bakeries, cafés, and everyday conveniences within walking distance. Travel times and rideshare pricing to New York City vary based on traffic and demand and are unfortunately beyond any host's control.
We appreciate all constructive feedback and continuously invest in improving our property. We are proud to have welcomed thousands of guests over the years while consistently maintaining Superhost status, and we remain committed to providing an honest listing and an excellent experience for every guest.
The property was spacious and clean, with easy parking and easy access to public transportation into NYC. The views of NYC skyline just a block and a half away are spectacular, among best anywhere. Plenty of groceries and eateries within steps. Just a great location.
Clean and spacious apartment, located in a friendly residential area with various shops and restaurants close by. Also just a short walk from public transport to Manhattan - and the views across the Hudson (also whilst you're on the bus) are fabulous. Easy communication with the host, very clear instructions on how to get to the house. If only we could have stayed longer!

About the host
Hosted by Paul Belibrov
I am a family-oriented person with a wife and three children.I lived and worked in NYC before moving to NJ and choose a location close to Manhattan where both me and my wife work, and to have good schools for the boys as well. So I choose Hudson County where I live now and I am very happy. The Neighborhood is very safe and friendly and there are many activities for the children as well that keep them busy.
Why they chose this property
We bought this property as an investment and I always liked the idea of short-term rental, but I had it rented out and could not work. The time one of the tenants moved out I decided to renovate and give it a try. And here I am.
What makes this property unique
The apartment is totally renovated, new furniture, new kitchen, new bathroom, new floors, backyard, next to Manhattan at the half price. What more can you ask. Give it a try and you will see. One more benefit you have me available all the time.
