De Anza Country Club; Comfortable and spacious home on 14th fairway with pool

Beautiful 2,800 sq. ft. 3 bedroom/4 bathroom home right on the golf course at DeAnza Country Club. Our house is fully furnished and equipped with all you need for your visit. Come stay for a short vacation or for the entire season!

Our house is a great place to discover Borrego Springs and all that San Diego County's 'Desert Oasis' has to offer: Small town atmosphere; dark, starry skies; no smog; NO traffic lights!; Less than hours to the beach, Imperial County, Palm Springs, Temecula.

Check our calendar and/or call for availability. Fall, winter and and spring are the most popular when we have great weather; but consider early summer, summer, or late summer when the weather is hot, the evenings are warm, our pool is most refreshing, and the town is unbelievably quiet! Plenty of activities to do for the whole family.

We are right on the 14th Fairway of DeAnza Country Club! Just a few minutes walk to the clubhouse. Golfing is currently available at De Anza Country Club (per their website) with various introductory specials:

Our house overlooks the golf course with great views of the fairway in one direction and mountains in the other direction. Expansive patio areas. Gas grill. 2 Bicycles available for you to cruise the neighborhood. Comfy beds and luxurious linens. Sleeps up to five people (master bedroom has king bed and second bedroom has queen bed. Den/third bedroom has a Simmons sofabed. Four full bathrooms.

Very quiet De Anza Country Club residential neighborhood, with many mid-century modern custom homes featured in the Borrego Modern home tour held each spring. Roam the traffic free streets. Watch the wildlife. Tucked up against the mountains with golf, tennis, biking, hiking, walk/run paths, gym, spa, and much more available just outside the door or nearby. Come and have fun.

Great stay in Borrego Springs

We absolutely loved the house as well as what we experienced in Borrego. The house was quite large and well maintained with beautiful artwork throughout the property. It was extremely quiet an so tranquil in the morning as the sun was coming up. I would definitely stay there again if or when we go back for more star gazing.

Thanksgiving in Borrego

We had an amazing time at Charlie's place. House is right on the 14th hole at DeAnaza Country Club, offering a great view while still remaining private. House is very spacious and kitchen is well stocked. Next time we're in Borrego Springs we hope Charlie's place is available.

Wonderful Borrego House!

Great house, location and host! Lots of room inside and out...the location on the golf course provides a great backdrop while still plenty of privacy. Charles is one of the most responsive hosts we've ever booked with. We are looking forward to coming back.

Great mid century home. Perfect for this area. Really not Palm springs so it shouldn't be considered so. The area stands on its own.

Oasis in the Desert

This is the second time we have stayed at this wonderful property in Borrego Springs. Location is great and the house is very spacious and comfortable. Everything we needed was there. Charlie is always readily available to respond to questions or concerns. We will likely stay there again!

Great getaway from it all

Lovely property. This was our second time staying. Awesome private pool, lots of space and quiet. Definitely a great place to hide out from the city. The house has all needed amenities which was great. We enjoyed walking the neighborhood at dusk and watching the stars at night. Charlie is so helpful and very responsive.

Desert Oasis

This is a beautiful modern home. The beds are comfortable. There is plenty of space to roam around. Rental was easy and the price is reasonable. It is a great location. It sits on a golf course, the neighborhood is quiet and friendly, and the town is 5 minutes away. If you are into adventure, it is located at Anza-Borrego State Park, you can go out and explore during the day, and come back and relax by the pool in the evening.

Spacious Living Area with Nice Outdoor Patio and Pool

This property has two large main living areas directly in front of the kitchen. Would be very nice for families, even though my husband and I rented it for just ourselves. Very clean, with a more than adequate supply of all toiletry and kitchen items. Outdoor area is nicely maintained with adequate distance from neighbors. I visited in June and didn’t see or hear a single other person until I drove into town. Very peaceful and serene.

Back Again, and Again

If you really want to enjoy Borrego Springs, this place is the right way to start. The house is super comfortable, spacious as can be, easy to access, private, quiet, safe, and it was our 2nd stay and 3rd rental from Charlie, who is always helpful, gracious and makes everything easy. The location is beautiful, especially at night. The house itself is so large, we kept laughing as the walk from the bedroom to kitchen was so far, it would yell back "I'm almost there" and just crack-up. But its a great place for peace and quiet and comfort. We'll be back many more times. We bring our own powerful electric scooters and ride everywhere together, and covered over a hundred miles again this trip. Thank again Charlie for the offering, we had a blast.

Pleasant get-awsy

Property is located in the DeAnza Country Club and is quite appealing. The owner/manager is exceptionally responsive and helpful. We loved the bird activity in the morning - hooded Orioles, grosbeaks, white-winged dove in particular. The home is spacious and comfortable, lots of windows lining the back for wonderful views. Kitchen is well-stocked, bed/bedding was great, bath had nice towels and ample toiletries. The pool filter was not working and so the pool had accumulated leaves and debris - my husband is describing it as unusable (can’t remember if it’s meant to be heated but it was not comfortable). Still, pool issue was not huge for us but might be for others. Outdoor area was inviting. Although the location is outside of “town” it was not a problem at all; we enjoyed the drive and exploring the attractive homes in the country club. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend the property!

Quiet, relaxing stay

House is very clean, well-equipped kitchen, quiet neighborhood. Easy driving distance to Peg Leg and campground/visitor center/hellhole canyon trailheads and to town. Bit far if you're thinking to walk anyplace, but morning/evening strolls in the neighborhood were peaceful with few cars, friendly neighbors and sweet dogs. 2-minute drive to Galleta Meadows -- funky rust-sculpture garden out on the valley. We took a pretty sunrise walk there on our last morning. Nice back yard for sitting in either sun or shade, pretty desert plants and citrus trees front and back. Comfy beds and great living space for lounging, nice sized kitchen that was comfortable for cooking/socializing (just two of us but could see gathering there with a family group or a few couples and making meals together), appliances all work well and kitchen/laundry/bathroom supplies are available in the giant utility room next to the kitchen. Easy communication and accommodating host. The guest before us had reported a cracked coffee carafe and there was a replacement on the doorstep when we arrived. Charlie reached out to offer any advice/assistance with the house, which we did not need but appreciated. We stayed four nights, wish it had been longer. Definitely recommend.

Peaceful Golf Course Home on #14

We rented the property for nearly three weeks. We entered a very clean and well maintained home. There were a few spices, salt and pepper and coffee filters for the drip coffee pot. The kitchen is fully stocked, with regular blender, immersion blender, toaster, etc. It has a great layout and lives very quietly. Since the weather was cooler we did not use the pool. It is unheated but also clean and well maintained. We liked it so well we plan to come back again!

We live in the San Francisco Bay Area and discovered Borrego Springs in 2000. The DeAnza Country Club neighborhood is full of beautiful houses and the neighborhood is great for cycling and walks! We found it to be the most desirable part of town and that is why we purchased our desert getaway in that area.
