Modern Convenience in the Heart of Austin

We have been staying at vacation rentals for a long time - I was one of the first 200 employees at HomeAway/VRBO - so we look for a lot in a vacation rental. The South 1st Street Hideaway was a very welcoming stay as we were greeted with a welcome note, basket with snacks, and bottle of wine upon arrival! Smart locks and thermostat were convenient as we had the code before we arrived - no more trying to find the key under the mat like in the old days. The house was spotless and is new construction with modern amenities, walk in shower, and high end appliances - coffee maker (including coffee), toaster, blender, and more. Parking was easy with a covered spot right by the door. Location is right in the heart of Austin and walking distance to all of the cool restaurants and shops on South 1st (1 minute walk) and South Congress (10 minute walk). We enjoyed taking our picture in front of the famous Austin postcard mural which was on the same street!
