Located in Kennebunk, this delightful 4-bedroom house offers a king bed, 2 queen beds, and 2 twin XL bed for guests to relax in. With 2.5 bathrooms equipped with showers and hair dryers and one half bath this enchanting property also features a cozy living room off of the kitchen, a formal living room, dining room, basement with beds and a sunroom overlooking the water. The views are spectacular and they can be enjoyed by sitting in one of the adirondack chairs along the path. The path brings you to town one direction and the to the beach if you head the other direction. The beaches of Kennebunk are biking distance and less than a ten minute drive. A great place to call home base while you stay in the Kennebunk's and explore Maine and its breathtaking coast. Please enjoy this home that we have carefully curated with a unique style and filled with lovely amenities. We hope you enjoy your stay.

The property was beautiful and fit our travel party perfectly! There were a few hiccups on the first night of our stay, but the hostess went above and beyond to rectify things and we were able to enjoy the reminder of our trip. The property was close to downtown Kennebunkport and was very peaceful.

Beautiful home in a great location

We had a wonderful stay here in July. The location is great and the setting on the river is so peaceful. We had lots of space for our group of 6. The property is a short drive from both Kennebunk town and Kennebunkport shops, beaches and restaurants.

The pros of this property are the spectacular views of the Mousam River, ease of access to nature trails, unique interior design, and proximity to downtown Kennebunk/Kennebunkport. It was very spacious on the inside and easily accommodated six adults, two small children and a baby. With that said, the property is in various states of disrepair — corroded metal surfaces, musty closets, upholstery and linens that were laundered but stained, etc. The exterior amenities were similarly compromised — an extremely dirty grill, a firepit whose cover had rusted into pieces, a very weathered hammock with a large hole. The WiFi was also unreliable which posed its own challenge. The house also has a caretaker who lives above the garage, with a separate entrance. While this individual was very kind, we were only told a few days ahead of time that they would be on the property with us. We were prepared to love this house, but for the price, it definitely needs some TLC from the owners.

Thank you for your feedback. I do want to clarify a few points for future guests. The sheets referenced in the review were absolutely clean and freshly laundered. Unfortunately, a pen accidentally made its way into the dryer with a load of linens and left permanent marks on several sets. I am meticulous about laundering all of our bedding and linens, and at the time I made the decision not to discard nine otherwise perfectly clean sets of sheets solely because of cosmetic ink marks. I completely understand, however, that the appearance could have been off-putting, and I apologized and explained what had happened so that F and her family knew they were in fact clean. Those linens have since been replaced. Regarding the hammock and fire pit, neither is listed as an amenity available to guests, so I was surprised to see them included as part of the review of the property. We are very careful about accurately representing what is and is not included with the rental. I’m also not sure what specifically was considered to be “in disrepair,” as that was not brought to my attention in a way that gave me an opportunity to address it during the stay. I take the care and cleanliness of our home very seriously and am always happy to address a legitimate issue when one is brought to my attention. I gave F and her guests an early check in per her request, I was available for any questions and concerns they had, having extras delivered upon request. I also want to note that we were present in the house the day after her group left and there members of our family had a full day of work, including zooms and had no trouble whatsoever ever. we took a internet speed test with spectrum and it was high, I cannot upload a picture of the reading within 24 hours, I am sorry that at the time the guests were struggling with it and in the future you can unplug the modem and reset, it seems to do the trick. I appreciate the feedback and will continue to make improvements where appropriate, new hammock has arrived and I will add it to amenities.
