Great host, great location, great little town. My family was extremely happy with the place and where it was located. We will definitely try and stay here again on our next trip to Port Austin.

Thank you for the review! We can’t wait to host you again!
It was okay. We could tell that upgrade was still in process. Example transition stripes from tile floor to wood floors need to be install. No blinds on patio door, loose tiles in the bathroom but it was fine for a couple days that we stayed there

Thank you for the feedback. We sometimes have to do repairs in the off season which reflects the price discount for that time and inconvenience of small repairs. The patio door without blinds is intentional due to potential damage to the blinds going in and out. The backyard is fairly secluded and private. Again, thank you for your feedback and all of the repairs/ upgrades have already been completed since your stay!
My family had a BLAST staying at The Huron Host. Location, location, location walking distance to everything in town. Love that it has four bedrooms as I had family coming up for a few days at different times. Would love to come back next year.
This property is very convenient to restaurants and the market. Very responsive owner/manager. Overall everything was clean and basic supplies provided.

Thank you for your review! We love the location as well! Please stay with us again!
When we arrived we found mouse dropping on the kitchen counter. There was mouse dropping on the bedding of one of the twin beds. The flooring is uneven. It was very difficult to get warm water in the shower. It was either scolding hot or icy cold. Putting the lever in the middle shuts off the water. I was finally able to get warm water, but it was low water pressure because it was almost at the off position.

Hi! Thank you for the feedback! You are the first guest to ever report a problem with any rodents or plumbing issues! We have an exterminator monitoring the property and had a plumber make sure the shower is in top working order. The floor is an overlay of an older job due to the age of the home. Thank you again and without this feedback we can’t help make our property the best it can be.
Our group of friends enjoyed our stay very much. When we arrived to find the A/C was not functioning I wasn’t sure we would even stay. But I contacted the owner who was very quick to resolve the issue to our comforts. The location is quick to most places yet very quiet.
This rental is right in the middle of town, while still being shielded from the main street happenings. The home is spacious and comfortable. During my stay, we had an issue that could have ended the trip early. The host was immediately responsive and supportive to ensure we were able to enjoy the vacation as planned. Thanks again! My family truly enjoyed experiencing Port Austin with the Huron Host.
This property is in a great location in Port Austin! The bathrooms were very clean and it was great having a second 1/2 bath. If you are staying during warm weather, even with the one unit, it is hard to keep the house cool, but the listing was accurate- we just ended up with extra warm weather during our stay. The grill is on the smaller size if you are planning to grill. The yard is huge and great for outdoor games.

Thank you for the review! Our hope is to one day have a whole AC unit installed! Thank you!
A simple but well decorated home! Very clean and comes with all the amenities. On a quiet street close to town and the beach, a delicious restaurant and bar only 3 minutes away. A cute small backyard with patio furniture and a spot for fires. Bring some food to cook as the kitchen is fully stocked with dishes an oven and microwave. The guest is very accommodating, texted back about all our questions. The washer and dryer were a godsend and the password code for the door meant we never worried about leaving it unlocked. A great house for a family stay or a couples getaway. Can’t wait to go back!:)
The renovation of the home made it nice. Clean up could have been better. There was sawdust in the cupboard from mounting the microwave. The master bath toilet had not been finished, the water was not turned on. Owner was very helpful and was quick to return calls. We would 100% stay again.

Thank you for the feedback! We will be sure to address the issues stated immediately. Thank you again!🙂
The check in process was smooth and the owner very responsive. We had six adults staying there and it worked quite well. I was pleasantly surprised at the size of the bedrooms. The kitchen was clean and had all we needed. The deck had seating for about 10. TV worked great, included Netflix. Suggestions: ceiling fan or exhaust vent in bathroom, mirrors in bedrooms, railing on front porch for handicapped. I would highly recommend the Huron Host! Thanks Kristin.
