A beautiful property with a lovely view of the lake. The home was very clean and comfortable. Tastefully decorated and conveniently located. Would definitely stay here again!
We enjoyed our stay at Matilda very much - the house was just as described, very comfortable rooms and great kitchen with dining area. Matilda house is located on a street with a fair amount of traffic, but the peace of Duluth and Lake Superior certainly outweighs!
The property is well maintained and filled with historical charm. The check-in/out process was simple. The location is close to everything and has plenty of parking. We arrived later than expected and Leila was kind enough to turn some lights on for us which we very much appreciated. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

The house was clean and modernized. It was beautiful with original architectural features but also has modern upgrades and accommodations. It was close to local attractions and within walking distance of the lakeside trail along Lake Superior. A perfect house for a family or friends to meet for a few days, a week or a month.
The Matilda was a great spot for our group of friends to stay. Super stylish space. Loved the little game room. Easy to get to all the sights we planned on. Host replied to questions in a timely manner. Would definitely stay again!
Morning coffee with lake views, relaxing in the living room, and playing games in the game room at night— what could be better! They thought of everything when putting this house together. Easy walk to the beach. And, of course, great hiking and biking is so close!
It is a beautiful home, nicely decorated and kept. It has all the character of its age, yet all the quality updates to make it very comfortable and user friendly. There was plenty of parking, which we needed for our group. Big beautiful kitchen with everything one could need. The bathrooms are lovely. Master suite is spacious. Beds are softer than we are accustomed to, but that is a matter of preference. 3rd bedroom is small, but darling. Leila thought of everything. Check-in and check-out were a breeze.
We enjoyed a wonderful few days with a couple generations of family, including two kiddos, in this exquisitely decorated house by the Duluth Lake Superior shore. Six of us were able to stay together comfortably, appreciating the back deck with lake views, laundry facilities, and well appointed kitchen. The youngest especially loved sharing with all of us the many games available for our use. Both the dining room and den were perfect gathering places for our group. We loved being able to access the many Duluth attractions using the nearby lakefront path. Check in and other communications were much appreciated, as well. We hope to be back!
