Our enchanting log cabin is tucked away in the woods, yet close to modern comforts! This woodsy and cozy retreat is a little over an hour from NYC. It features 2 bedrooms with a mix of king, queen, and trundle twin beds. Our cabin meets a wide range of travelers needs, ranging from family stays, girls weekend getaways, and romantic weekend city escapes. Architect and teacher (co-host Amy) based in NYC who love nature. We love hosting people and making our home feel like theirs. We've had warm feedback from all our guests that they truly feel at home. We've hosted (2) brides and grooms, families from around the world, many successful girls' trips, and romantic city escapes, resulting in one engagement! We look forward to continuing our tradition of sharing our home and building memories.
Why they chose this property
We fell in love with the peacefulness of the cabin in the woods. The surrounding reservoirs and viaducts truly bring a sense of tranquility and serenity. There are numerous orchards within 10 minutes, where you can pick your own summer fruit and fall apples. We are also about 20 minutes from Fahenstock State Park, Chaung Yen Monastery, and surrounding Hudson Valley towns like Cold Spring and Beacon. And, in case you forget milk or ice cream, the supermarket is only a 5-minute drive.
What makes this property unique
Our home is an actual log cabin in the woods! But don't worry, it's an upscale log cabin with plumbing, electricity, heat, a chef's kitchen, a wood-burning stove, and a backup generator.
