Our stay at the Henry Loft was great! The apt was very clean, comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. Our teens were occupied in the game room and our dogs had fun running in the backyard. Petersburg is a great midway location between Colonial Williamsburg/Busch Gardens and Monticello. I would definitely recommend you stay here.
The Henry loft is a very attractive property inside and out. Modern interior/ art and amenities with convenient parking lot located behind the property. The bathroom is gorgeous. The room with bunkbeds had very comfy mattresses and a cool arcade game. I loved that the property was pet friendly. We did not bring a pet this trip but there is a large fenced in yard that any dog would love. Demolition Coffee is right across the street behind the property, great coffee and muffins. Buttermilk bakery is a block away, yummy doughnuts. The host, Casey, had a binder with restaurant and attraction recommendations nearby. The binder was a lovely touch, we went to many of the places recommended and were very pleased with them all. The Henry lofts are located a few blocks from Old Towne Petersburg. The area is so quaint with many antique shops, boutiques, restaurants, and historic buildings. My family thoroughly enjoyed exploring it.The area seems to have many renovations taking place with new shops and restaurants coming soon. Even as obvious tourists my family and I felt very safe roaming the areas around the Henry Lofts. We accidently locked ourselves out of the unit one day and Casey was there to let us in within minutes. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay and would highly recommend The Henry Lofts to any and all wanting to visit the area. Thank so much Casey for a lovely stay!
Super cool hideaway in a small, but neat historic town. Stayed because our daughter was graduating from Ft. Lee and we had dogs. This place was close to base and has a gated backyard for the dogs. Outdoors: super convenient location within walking distance to tons of restaurants, and an amazing coffee shop right out the back door! We got lucky and they had a community festival right down the road with food trucks, live and DJ music, and ended the night with fireworks we watched from the apartment with a great view! The neighborhood was packed and we never saw anything get too rowdy or loud or dangerous. Everyone was kind and we felt very safe. Inside: Apartment was SUPER clean and beautiful. Beds are very comfortable and we just loved the setup. Everything you need for a stay is kindly provided. Checking in was very easy & convenient and the book explained everything you could have any questions about as well as some great pointers for close by stuff. The game room (kids room) was adorable and we even enjoyed playing games. The hallway going upstairs was a bit tight and steep, but it is a historic building so I wasn't surprised, just a note for the mobility challenged. Casey was great! Kept me very well informed- communicated clearly and with kindness and made the stay very pleasant and relaxing. They have done a TON of work in this place and you can tell down to every last detail that it is a labor of love. It truly is beautiful & made our stay wonderful. Thank you!
