Awesome stay in Schenectady

Loved staying at this place in downtown Schenectady. Super convenient, comfortable and quiet. Amazing location. It was definitely more a studio than one bedroom apartment but worth every penny! I will definitely book again.

Honestly can’t say how the inside of the listing was. Arrived and parked where the property manager said to. As I was reading the instructions to get into the property a man started overdosing next to my car. I watched as they were trying to revive him and the neighbors sat on their stoop looking like this was just another day. Didn’t end up staying, had to pay for a hotel and the property manager refused any type of refund. Just based on the neighborhood alone I would not recommend this listing.

When I booked only 3 reviews were available two were 10’s the other a 2. I wondered if the 2 was a curmudgeon and if the 10’s were friends. Not a lot of other choices so I took the chance. This will now become my go to when traveling to Schenectady. It’s a studio (not a one bedroom) that is well laid out, clean and nicely decorated. The check in details were not provided until the day of (Expedia says they will provided 3 days prior). It worked out fine, but I prefer earlier than the day of travel as the grid, Expedia, VRBO could go down or I could lose my phone or it could need a charge,etc. Because I’m a dinosaur I had a (self inflicted) issue with the lock/door. I didn’t see the directions on the back of the door and once I did I still found them a bit confusing. It’s would be great if the information was put in the check in details on the booking. To lock the door go outside close the door and press the top button that says Kwikset. The unit was as described.
