This two story year round cottage is on a quiet lot at the tip of Lobster Cove in Boothbay Harbor with tidal frontage! Swim from the rocky shore, or just dip your toes in to the cool Atlantic waters at high tide. At low tide explore the exposed rocks and hidden wonders of a Maine tidal cove.

Relax on the 10' x 24' front deck and watch the tide as it comes and goes. This home offers a King size bed in the second floor master bedroom, and a first floor bedroom with a queen size bed. Walk a 1/2 mile to the east side of the harbor for fresh cooked lobster dock side (or get live ones to go), or continue across the foot bridge to down town for shopping, dining, boating excursions, and entertainment.

Clean, GREAT location, excellent host, quintessential Maine. Wanted to stay in this place for months!!! The Foster’s were readily accessible, and made a point to meet us on arrival. The location, decor, and cleanliness were unbeatable. I can see why folks have returned to this cottage year after year. I would love to do the same.

BoothBay Harbor ME

This was our 6 stay at the property. The location allows walking into BoothBay and to Barrett Park. Great spot to also take day trips to other locations. Sit by the water and enjoy nature and watch the tides come and go.

Very nice, well-equipped house in a quiet neighborhood near the park. We enjoyed exploring the town and area around Boothbay. The Boothbay Botanical Garden is a very special place. David was easily available and helpful both before and after we arrived.

Quiet Family Trip

My husband, son and mother stayed for a week in Boothbay. David was great to work with upon check-in and let us know he was available throughout our stay should we need him! The house was clean and comfortable, with enough space that we didn’t feel clustered together. Would definitely stay again!

Our stay at Lobster Cove cottage was nothing short of perfect. Nestled on a peaceful cove surrounded by nature, the location is truly serene. Yet, despite its tranquil setting, the cottage is within walking distance to the harbor and its shops and restaurants. The cottage was clean, well-stocked and thoughtfully furnished, making it feel like a true home away from home. We can’t wait to return to Lobster Cove!

Very Nice Cottage!

Great location close to town but still private enough to enjoy the Maine experience. Great communication from the Owners. Very clean with up to date amenities. Next year will be our 50th year vacation in Boothbay so we didn't need much hand holding but the owners made it clear they were close by if we needed anything or if we had any questions. Had a great stay.

Foster’s Cottage

A delightful and beautiful week stay at this cottage very near everything. Quiet and comfortable. Well equipped kitchen and very comfortable beds. The deck is relaxing as you oversee the slow steady rhythm of the tide as it quietly enters and then exits Lobster Cove each day. Recommended! We enjoyed it very much.

We would go back in a heartbeat!

The cottage was wonderful! Clean, comfortable and very well equipped. Dave and Linda met us there when we arrived and filled us in on the specifics, gave us some tips on restaurants, activities and told us about the small park about a block away - a very warm welcome. We stayed three weeks and enjoyed every minute - the deck was Lee's favorite, and she spent a good amount of time out there reading and enjoying the scenery. The whole place is nothing but comfort and relaxation.

Another great week in Boothbay Harbor

This was our 6th time at the Foster Cottage. The host is always available for any concerns. The weather was great if a little unseasonably hot and humid. Took a picture of a Bald Eagle 'fishing' in the cove from the deck of the house. Saw the Scottish Group, Herron Bay, at the Boothbay Opera House. All and all a great stay.

Great location, very responsive and available owner (David). Very comfortable home with additional sitting area upstairs for privacy. Well stocked for meals. Location provides tidal basin up close and personal at “high” tide. Down the street (1/4 Mike) is beautiful Barrett waterfront park. Great seafood restaurants all around downtown. Don’t forget to do the Cabbage Island clambake. It’s terrific. Thank David and Linda for a very enjoyable 2 weeks in beautiful Boothbay Harbor😎

Lobster Cove Cottage

My wife and I along with our Jack Russell thoroughly. enjoyed our stay at Lobster Cove Cottage. David was extremely pleasant and helpful making checkin a breeze. The home was as described very comfortable and clean. Being located right on the cove was an absolute surprise bonus. We knew it would be nice but had no idea just how nice. Everyday we found time to sit and watch all the bird activity. Watching the ducks, cormorants, and especially the Blue Herons was such a added treat for us. The cottage is located close to many Maine attractions. We found ourselves hiking almost every day. Boothbay Harbor is only a half mile away making it extremely convenient. Lobster Cove Cottage is a place we hope to return to. Sincerely Paul & Rebecca

Pros: Comfortable cottage in a great location (pictures on the website don't do it justice). Great view of the water from the deck and nice Adirondack chairs down by the water. Great for two couples since there are two bedrooms and two full bathrooms. Bedrooms and bathrooms are on separate floors, which adds an extra layer of privacy. There were only two of us travelling as a couple, so we didn't need the extra bedroom. We did appreciate the extra bathroom and space, though. Water access is great at high tide (able to use my paddleboard right from the cottage). The cottage is well equipped and tastefully furnished. It's within walking distance to town, hiking trails (literally a block away), and Barrett's park for swimming. We had a high energy dog traveling with us, so these features were ideal for us. The outdoor deck also comes with a gate, which is another great feature if you want to safely contain a dog or small child while you are eating outside or appreciating the view.Cons: Limited water access at mid to low tide (unless you're willing to wade through a lot of mud to make it happen); no hose for outdoor cleaning purposes (a challenge when traveling with a dog or wanting to rinse off a paddleboard or kayak). The property does not get much sun (mostly in the shade). A lot of tree cover over the deck, which results in pollen, seeds, cones, etc. falling from them. The 10:00 a.m. departure time adds to the challenge of completing the required cleaning.

Wonderful Stay in Boothbay

We had such an enjoyable stay at the Foster's property. The house was lovely and in a great location. It was a short easy walk to the center of town with great shopping and restaurants. Boothbay is an easy drive to other Maine locations for shopping, hiking, restaurants and lighthouses. Dave and Linda are great hosts and their property was very clean and well maintained. We would definately stay here again.

Beautiful cottage tucked in the woods! 2 bedroom 2 bath home was perfect for two couples. We’ll stocked kitchen great deck overlooking the water all made for a wonderful stay! Priced very affordable for what you get would highly recommend this property and would definitely come back!

We have stayed in this cottage many times but this was the first time we could get it during COVID. The owners have always been extremely accommodating and have upgraded the cottage over the years. We are already talking about going back next year if we can.

Great stay near all attractions

We stayed for a week of enjoying the talk colors and time with nearby friends. The home was well equipped for cooking and bed linens. Two different living spaces was nice. Large lawn with pleasant seating overlooking the water. Well worth the time and money
