Custom Built Home W/ Amazing Views Of Kachemak Bay

A 2000 sq. foot 2 bedroom 2.5 bath custom built home located on 3 private acres. Beautiful spruce trees and wildflowers surround the property.

Heather View Vacation Rental is great for couples , families and friends.

The master bedroom has a queen size bed,walk in closet, a sitting area with a lovely view and an attatched deck.

The main bathroom has a walk in shower and jacuzzi tub for two. The second bedroom has a queen size bed.

The kitchen is fully equipped with all the amenities needed to make your stay perfect including all cooking utensils microwave, coffee maker and breakfast bar.

There is a comfortable living room with leather furniture and a separate dining room with sliding glass doors. The lower level has a trundle bed that can be 2 single beds or 1 king bed.There is an entertainment center with a large sitting area and a leather couch and a leather recliner. Also a 50' flatscreen t.v. with cable. The entire house is equipped with WIFI. Outside there is a large wrap around deck with BBQ grill and large landscape lawn with picnic area and firepit.

Beautiful home with beautiful view

The House and property was better than described and convenient to everything in Homer without being too close. We greatly enjoyed our stay and Maggie’s hospitality. We even got to see a mom and baby moose at midnight just outside the door one night.

Breath taking views near Homer

The home was great. Very clean and well equipped kitchen. Our only suggestion would be to put a queen sized bed in the guest bedroom and a king sized bed in the master. Maggie is a great host. You will love staying here.

Stunning Views

This place was everything I’d hoped it would be. Very comfortable for two couples and the views from the windows and balcony were incredible. I would definitely stay there again if we ever make it back to Homer which we also loved.

Amazing place!

We loved our 5 night stay in this very private, large home. Great views, saw a moose and her calf in the neighbor's yard, comfortable beds and great kitchen (with sharp knives, a rarity for rentals!) Would definitely stay here again next time we're in Homer.

Awesome place in great town

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, house was stocked with everything we needed. A short drive to grocery store and shops. Nature Center nearby was great as was the guided tour.

This is simply the best property we’ve ever stayed in through VRBO! Amazing home, views, and host! The host had wonderful communication and showed thoughtful preparation for our arrival and stay. Close to Homer and all the places and things the area has to offer. Stop looking and book this property!

This was a repeat stay for us. We just love the house and the views of the deck are incredible. And then there's Maggie...the best host every she is so accommodating with any request. We will definitely be back again we just fell in love with Homer.

Maggie Burns the owner was awesome. A group of four of us fishermen stayed five days, self-catered ,and enjoyed having the two and one-half bathrooms. Of course the views from the decks were magnificent.

Perfect Family Home with Amazing Views!

The whole process of checking in and out as well as communication before and during the trip with Maggie was seemless! We would highly recommend this stay! We really enjoyed our morning coffee and evening wine from either outdoors on the deck or indoors from the dining room, livingroom, and master bedroom. We even saw 3 moose- 1 coming right into the yard! It was the perfect Alaskan Getaway! The location was ideal from Homer- super easy access to get into town, yet in the country with the more secluded feel.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying in Homer in the Burn's home. The fireweed was in bloom and was beautiful overlooking the ocean. We enjoyed eating on the deck and roasting marshmallows over the fire pit. And Maggie ordered perfect weather for us!!! The kitchen is very well designed and fun to cook in. The accomodations were great. Looking forward to next year.

Awesome, stunning view

We enjoy our yearly stay at Maggie's. She is quite a gracious hostess. Her home has a beautiful kitchen... and deck with grill.... overlook of the valley is so peaceful. We were graced with good weather and fun times fishing and lounging and enjoying family. The firepit begs for smores!!!! Yum. Thanks Maggie for allowing us to experience such happy times.

When my wife and I booked the house the dozens of 5 star reviews did sway us. Sadly, I cannot give it the 6 stars which it deserves. Beautiful house, wants for nothing, and you feel at home immediatley. The photos of the views look good, but when you are there they are stunning. Homer itself is small and all the local people we met were very friendly. Discovered a lot about fish, wildlife and coastal conservation and was surprised how little we knew before. Even saw a Moose in the car park of the Homer Bookstore !! Wonderful place to visit and Maggie is the perfect host, available as often or as little as you want. Would love to return. Exceptional Stay!!

My husband and I and another couple recently stayed at this property. I chose it because of the views and wrap-around deck shown on the website. It was beautiful! The fireweed (red-purple flowers) was in full bloom. The sky was clear, and we had wonderful views of the ocean and Mt. Augustine (?). At first I was concerned about the distance from town, but we had a car and found this not to be a problem. If fact, we relished the solitude. My husband and I decided to check out VRBO listings for future vacations as available. Our friend is an amateur chef. He was delighted with the kitchen and prepared several excellent meals. We found the breakfast bar very handy in the mornings, yet ate in the dining room in the evenings. Beds were very comfortable. The whole house was very relaxing and inviting. The owner was very friendly and helpful (although my husband and I both declined shaking hands since we had just returned from fishing :)) The guys fished one day with Bob's Trophy Charters, and everyone on the boat caught their limit of king and silver salmon. I highly recommend this property. If we return to Homer, we would definitely book this home again.

The house was really nice and super clean with beautiful views of Kachemak Bay! It was well stocked with everything we needed. The grill was even clean, which was great. We definitely would stay there again if we are back in Homer.

View Vacation Rental along with my husband John.We have lived in Homer for 30 years. I am a retired chef and my husband works on a research vessel M.V. Tiglax for U.S. Fish and Wildlife. We travel 2-4 months in the winter months and have been to over 20 countries.

We moved to Homer 30 years ago and fell in love with the beauty and friendliness of the people. We still feel that way today and welcome people into our home to experience the alaskan way.
