The basement living room includes a cozy sofa bed for extra guests. Great hiking available out the front door or for avid hikers, access to the Benton McKay Trail is only a mile away.

Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds, gather used towels and store extra beds
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
No fire pit usage or outdoor fires from May 1st - September 30th - This is a local ordinance due to forest fire risk! In season (Oct 1st-April 30th) may be restricted by forestry service.
Fireworks are strictly prohibited year around due to fire risk!
No parties allowed - Outdoor quite time 11P-6A. Many neighbors are year around residents.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
No smoking, or vaping, of any kind on the property - this includes outdoors.
No food or drinks of any kind on the pool table. Replacing damaged pool felt is a $500 charge based on repair cost.

I grew up in Alabama and have been hiking since I was 10. My wife found Blue Ridge 17 years ago before it was a "hot spot". The hiking is great here and you can start on the Benton McKay Trail, which feeds into the Appalachian Trail and hike all the way to Maine if you want. I truly enjoy sharing the area with people and I am always happy to make hiking recommendations to guests as well as strangers.

Why they chose this property

The cabin and the view made the decision for us, but the best thing is that you feel like you are in the wilderness, but only 20 minutes from town, 15 minutes from ziplining, and 30 minutes from white water rafting.
There are also multiple great hiking trails 10 to 30 minutes away.

What makes this property unique

We looked at 42 cabins before we made a decision. Our cabin was the second stop out of 42 and as soon as I saw the incredible view, I told my wife "this is it". The cabin itself is special and it's in a special place and we hope you enjoy it as much as we have and find the same peace we find when we are there.
