Audrey and Mat's Humphrey hideaway was a 'gem' of a find - pun intended! We were searching for Herkimer diamonds, but the house itself turned out to be the real treasure. The attention to detail was impressive, and we appreciated the cozy atmosphere. Although the temperature varied during our stay, we remained comfortable throughout. Thanks to Audrey and Mat for a wonderful experience, and we especially enjoyed the screened-in porch and the peaceful outside area with a stream.

The property was immaculate and has an interesting and rich history. The hosts, Matt and Audrey were very attentive to our needs and made our visit extremely comfortable. The property is very pet-friendly. We brought our cat and found the cottage very accommodating. Although our cat is an indoor cat, there is plenty of outdoor space for pets to roam. It even has a dog run. Words really can’t describe the serenity and beauty of the cottage and its surroundings. If peace and quiet are what you desire then Humphrey Hideaway is your ticket. We highly recommend this cozy Upstate New York getaway! Will definitely return on our next New York visit!
