Host grossly misrepresented this house as “ocean front” and an easy 3-minute walk to the beach. This is absolutely false. This house was once ocean front but as the shape of Fripp Island has changed over the decades, the house is now more than 1 km from the beach and there is no nearby access. The house has a distant ocean view but no access. One can’t even hear the surf from the deck of the house. The only beach access boardwalks nearby -#6 and #9- both end in marshy lake areas with signs posted to beware of alligators. We had to rent 2 additional golf carts so our party to reach the beach at access#13. I contacted the property manager to ask if there were some access I couldn’t find but received no response in 5 days. The dryer vents desperately needs to be cleaned which is a fire hazard and resulted in poor drying. There were roaches in the kitchen. We were charged oceanfront prices but for a house that is well inland from the beach. I’m contacting the SC law enforcement to submit a complaint for criminal investigation.
