Great stay

We had a wonderful stay at this great little house. Very relaxing. The owners were amazing to work with unfortunately hurricane Debbie came through and it rained for all three days of our stay, but we were able to make the best of it and had a great time at the property, and out on the water between rainstorms.

Great Stay!

We enjoyed our 1 night stay, unfortunately, it was brief as we came in late and left early We were in town for a 1 day fishing charter in Oriental. It’s in a very quiet neighborhood, and the house is beautifully decorated. You can tell the owners put a lot of pride in their house. I would absolutely stay again.

I can’t say enough good things about the hosts and our very comfortable stay. I can always tell when people go out of their way to make sure that you have all of the amenities that you would enjoy at your home. We welcome you to La Paglia Orba, your home away from home! We're thrilled to have you as our guests at our cozy retreat. Before we tell you a little about the place, here is a little about us! We love to travel and we do so, as much as possible. We both have full-time jobs but manage to take the opportunity to enjoy life. As Xavier loves to fish, hunt, and the outdoors, we found our hidden gem in 2020! We completed the house in 2023. Xavier is originally from Corsica, France, and Christa is from Ohio. Our family is the most important thing to us and we love building memories together. We believe your time away from home should be comfortable, relaxing, and filled with good times! We hope you have a great time while you are here.

Why they chose this property

The neighborhood is quiet and private; it provides great fishing, boating,
and sailing. Broad Creek is where the Neuse River meets the Pamlico Sounds. We are 5 minutes to Oriental, a small charming sailing capital of NC. The town is 25 minutes from New Bern, just about 1 hour to Atlantic Beach, Morehead City, and Beaufort.

What makes this property unique

Our house provides great entertaining - indoor and outdoor - in a perfect location. Enjoy a relaxing weekend or bring your boat for some great fishing or boating. Dock your boat on our slip (#10), boat ramp by slip. (We offer 1 kayak and 1 2man kayak)
