About this property

Large independent cottage, walking distance to campus and downtown Columbia

Though this independent cottage is classified as a studio, it is very large (660 sq. ft.), with areas for the bedroom, living room, extra sleeping space with a full-sized futon-bed in it and a large central space to socialize, work or eat in. The building has its own entrance and is located in the Old South-West of Columbia, a 10-minute walk to campus, groceries and campus. The neighborhood has its own park, is very quiet and is right off the Katy Trail. There are four friendly chickens in the garden, a couple of very sociable dogs, and a wood-fired bread bakery next door. It is, above all, very comfortable.

Great place and a great location. Short walk to the downtown, if it wasn’t so cold this weekend. Worked really well for visiting our son who goes to the university of Missouri Very cozy and a freshly made loaf of bread was a wonderful touch.

The space was the perfect size and it allowed for my partner and I to be comfortable. The host provided us with a freshly baked sourdough bread! Plus the area around did not leave us wanting, everything was 5 minutes from each other!

Great location, so close to mizzou campus!

Stayed here while moving daughter out of dorm and proximity to campus was perfect, closer than most hotel options. Hosts were so kind, leaving a home made loaf of bread and butter upon arrival. Space was clean comfortable. Highly recommend this Vrbo for location and excellennt communication!

A delight!

The freshly made bread was a real treat! The proximity to downtown and the university was so nice. The bedroom is not walled off, fyi, which is just fine for a couple or small family.

She was very nice and even greeted us when we arrived which was great because the lock was tricky. I had problems with it our whole stay. The bathroom door also wouldn’t ever stay closed unfortunately either so we had to place something inside to keep it closed while taking our showers. And I’ve stayed at a few different b and b type places before and was surprised by the no microwave more than the no hair dryer, both which would have been helpful to have for the weekend. Overall nice and clean just a few hiccups for us personally.
