Hale Kamaole 127 Ground floor condo, easy access to best beach on Maui!

This super-modern ground floor condo has been completely remodeled for your comfort and style. Kitchen has beautiful wood cabinets with granite counter tops for easy clean-up. Granite top is used as a dining set with tall comfortable rattan chairs for seating, and extra storage underneath. Bathroom has walk-in tile shower. Bedroom has King bed (bought in 2018) with wooden dresser and two night stands. Tropical murals and local paintings throughout this lovely condo, done by the graphic artist owner and his wife to give you the true Hawaiian feel. Comfortable chase lounge fits in nicely with this very tropical condo. The sofa is a sleeper sofa that pulls out into a double bed. Full Kitchen comes complete with Refrigerator, Coffee Maker, Microwave, Toaster, and all the necessary cookware for meals at home. Accessible to you inside the unit are Ceiling Fans, Linens, Washer & Dryer, Ironing Board, High Speed Internet, as well as an Air Conditioner in the bedroom. Outside of the unit you'll find patio for outdoor dining, BBQ Grills, Gas Grills, Outdoor Showers, Shared Pools, Tennis Courts, and direct Beach access!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed here for 9 days (2 adults, 2 kids). The location was perfect and the condo was nice. The kids slept on the pull out couch and didn't have any complaints! There was a ton of beach gear that we put to good use. We found that it was a bit dark and the kitchen wasn't very well stocked (not enough cutlery, bowls). Though the condo itself was clean, some of the dishes in the cupboard were dirty.

Very Unsatisfactory--Do Not Rent 127

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were able to register just before 5. The keys did not work, and the office was now closed. We called out the manager who had to replace the door hardware and keys, but our planned relaxing first evening was now lost. A day or two later, we noticed scummy water backing up in our shower from the drain, which was not sanitary or acceptable. This happened at least daily. It was very time-consuming and frustrating to have to keep reporting this, wait for a response, get the shower cleaned after, and soon see scum and/or other dirty material again backing up in the shower. Clearly the drainage was partly plugged, and so the manager had plumbers in two different days. The second day, they found and cleared the blockage. The plumber said the backed-up liquid should be called sewage, not “water” and the sanitation we always requested was important.By the time this was fixed, about one week of our vacation had passed. The Unit next door was vacant for a few of these days, so we had some use of that shower, which was helpful but still inconvenient.Requesting assistance for issues was more difficult since the phones in Unit 127 were not in service. We reported this to the office about 4 times. We were told the owner would resolve this, but he never did.There were a couple of other deficiencies: one stove element which did not heat effectively and problems with the bedroom light & fan and their remote/switch. Given our more serious issues, we did not complain about these ones at the time.For the most part, Scott and Lisa responded quickly to our requests, and tried hard to resolve the problems as best they could. Our complaints are certainly not about them. We like the location of this resort, but Unit 127 is showing its age, and we suspect it is representative of the overall condition of this resort. We could not recommend it to others.In summary, what we got for what we paid was very unsatisfactory.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our 8th year so we do like it at Hale Kamaole. We reported broken chairs at pool and they were still there everyday for a month. Pool furniture is getting old. Everything is kept very well on the grounds. Nice and quiet except for people who insist on using air conditioning all night.

The condo has all the comforts of home including a king bed, great shower head, comfy couch and well-appointed kitchen. It feels like a home away from home!
