About the host
Hosted by Sharon Hess
Originally from Austin, TX, Iived in the Kerrville area for 18 years. I'm a retired RN/Attorney who loves to travel. I recently purchased a mini-school bus I'm converting into a RV for me and my dogs to hit the road in!
Why they chose this property
My daughter and I found this house by accident, as it was next door to the one we originally went to look at. We immediatlely fell in love with the potential of this one - although that was hard given the condition of the house and yard. It's a quiet neighborhood with friendly neighbors. I remodeled the with my personal likes and styles, so it turns out I really remodeled it for me! However, I always get wonderful compliments on how the house is decorated.
I do love the house, and the private back yard is such a delight to sit in and watch the squirrels go from huge shade tree to tree. It's very relaxing to sit on the deck with a drink and just listen to the sounds of the birds and leaves rustling in wind. And t hen there's the hot tub to relax in. Turn on the lights in it and enjoy a massage. Perhaps one day this will be a warm, inviting home for me. I love it here!
What makes this property unique
Probably the biggest "unique" quality to my home is the luscious front and back yards. I installed St. Augustine grass throughout with an irrigation system, so my lawn is always green and thick. The deer particulalry love to lie on my "cushioned" yard. The vintage upright piano bar is another VERY unique piece that I brought down from Kansas, along with the vintage eye counter for my kitchen table, and the railroad cart for the living room coffee table.
