Cozy Stay in a Great Location Near Hofstra University

We had a great experience staying at this cozy apartment in Hempstead, NY. The neighborhood felt safe and quiet, with plenty of street parking available—very convenient. The apartment was clean, well-kept, and just the right size for two people. Check-in was seamless, and the host was very responsive and helpful. It’s a perfect spot for anyone visiting Hofstra University or the surrounding area. Would definitely stay here again!

Check in was easy. The rental had an interesting aesthetic but we could deal for a night. Upon looking around, it was grimy. There was grease and grime on all of the trim and baseboard. Stains on the grout in the bedroom, smooshed bugs with muddy footprints and live bugs as well. There were ear wigs and what I believe were cockroaches. My husband and I left and got a hotel room for the night. I messaged the host and he was responsive at first and agreed to reimburse me fully but has dropped contact since despite multiple attempts to contact him. If I could give zero stars, I would. The neighborhood was decent but the place was absolutely disgustingly dirty. I am contacting VRBO agents to resolve this issue.
