Charming 2-bedroom cottage near Mount Saint Mary’s College in Thurmont

This 2-bedroom cottage in Thurmont is perfect for your escape. With a queen bed and a cozy bunk bed, guests can enjoy a wonderful night's sleep. The bathroom features a refreshing shower, and amenities like a washing machine, dryer, fire pit, grill, outdoor seating and WiFi ensure a pleasant stay. This is a brand new remodel! There are two bedrooms. One with a queen size bed, one with a bunkbed,with a full on the bottom and a twin on top.
There is one bathroom, in the bathroom you will find the washer/dryer. 1-4 adults, or 1-2 adults and 1-2 children will be plenty comfortable here. Feel free to reach out to us during your stay - we're happy to suggest local spots to check out.
Wood for the fire pit is provided! There is a locked shed guests have access to for their bikes/boards/skis/golf clubs, and any other outdoor items you may bring and want to have secured. This is not a ski in ski out, but it is 6.3 miles from ski liberty and Carroll valley golf course. As well as 3 other courses close by. You are also a short drive to Downtown Frederick. Lastly the cottage is mere minutes from FEMA and the fire academy. Other notable areas close by:
Mount Saint Mary’s College- 1.2 miles
Gettysburg,PA-13 miles
Emmitsburg,MD-3.1 miles
Thurmont,MD-4.1 miles
Cunningham Falls state park and many others-7.1 miles
Multiple wineries close by as well! This is a fantastic location for work or play!

We truly loved this little cottage and was perfect for our stay while visiting family and friends. We took several walks in the area, enjoyed the quiet and the adorable space. The beds were very comfortable. The cottage was very clean and nicely remodeled. We will hopefully be able to rent here again at our next visit! Owner was very responsive and helpful as well. Only was missing a blowdryer, but I improvised!

Tucked away but close enough to Gettysburg

We chose this property over others because we're close enough to the attractions but out of the way enough we didn't feel the need or think we needed to rush around. The Owners were quick to respond and their Arrival and Departure Checklist were pretty straightforward. All they require is that you be respectful of their property and neighbors. We loved this stay and hope to rebook at some point in the future. Thank you once again for opening your home to us.

Why they chose this property

We noticed there is a high demand for places to stay to enjoy all manor of outdoor activities here. Hiking, biking, skiing, golf, etc. Not to mention the extremely close proximity to Mount Saint Mary’s college in particular. The same goes for FEMA and the fire academy as well as ski liberty! Plus it’s a quiet peaceful area if you just want to get away.

What makes this property unique

Very cozy, cottage style home. We especially love the raised kitchen ceiling with old barn boards rescued from the attic!
