Beautiful, Family/Pet-Friendly, East Beach Cottage

Welcome to the most family friendly rental on East Beach! You will be 6 houses from the surf and one mile to some of the best restaurants on the island. A short bike ride will get you to the Pier or Red-fern Village. Driftwood Cottage provides you with all that you might need for a relaxing stay. A fully equipped kitchen and basic linens mean less packing for you. Our island and the surrounding area are packed with wonderful things to do outside and our peasant year-round weather allows you do to them all. However, when you do come home to Driftwood, you'll find family games and puzzles, cable TV, DVD, and wireless internet access for your enjoyment.
The cottage is decorated with an eye for unique vintage finds. Located half-way down Bruce Lane on quiet East Beach, one of St Simons oldest, most established family friendly neighborhoods, Driftwood Cottage offers the perfect location for a family vacation or a romantic getaway for two. Very roomy, great for family time. Could use a little more detailing on cleaning ex. dining room table and silverware. But all in all I would recommend for family vacation, great location and not so commercialized area.

Fantastic location

Visited St Simon's for a wedding and the location of this cottage could not have been better. We were able to walk to the beach wedding on 11th street and then reception, which was right nearby. Cottage was large, had plenty of space and in a great neighborhood, exactly what we needed.

Amazing vacation!

The house was in a great location. Within walking distance to the beach and just a few minutes from downtown. The house was clean and the host was very responsive. We would definitely stay here again.

Short family getaway

Excellent, quiet location

The home and host are excellent - eclectic styling, and comfortable. The location is perfect for walking the dunes to the beach or even down to the inlet for salty fishing. The neighborhood was quiet and friendly - lots of 'hellos' and 'good mornings' :)

Family beach getaway

We loved staying here with 2 small kiddos and the grandparents as well! Plenty of room for everyone. Short jaunt to a great beach, very private, well-stocked home! We were so glad to be able to bring our dog too. Screened porch upstairs was so peaceful!

Our family had a great stay. My two nieces were excited that the bedspreads on the two single beds looked like Bluey and Bingo’s beds. Host was helpful and left clear instructions for everything with check in/out. Walkable distance to the beach even with our 7 month old.

Family weekend

In town for a family get-together. Perfect house sleeps 10+ with more then enough room.Walking distance to the beach. Close to everything around the island. Would definitely recommend to others.

Virtual Learning Getaway

We had an amazing time visiting while my older two kids did virtual learning! We were able to have enough space in the house to spread out and enjoy ourselves and then walk to the beach when they finished. The house is absolutely adorable!

Great visit - perfect beach house

Two families with a combined 10 guests, had a great visit and loved the house. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare full meals each night, the beds were very comfortable, and we had two great options to get to the beach. The walk through the dunes is beautiful, and we also cycled 5 or so blocks to the easy 15th st public access. I hope we’ll be able to rent here again!
