We are so glad you had a wonderful visit. You got so much snow that week! Uxío, you and your family are always most welcome!
Great home in the perfect location. The sauna jacuzzi, and fireplace were excellent, and the home was well stocked. Can’t wait to come back. The only thing that could have made it better was a little bit of snow…
Loved the property location. Gorgeous views and great amenities. The home was well stocked and Michele was a pleasure to communicate with. We had 11 people in our group and the home was spacious enough for everyone! We will definitely rebook here again.

We are so happy your group enjoyed your visit, Mary. We look forward to welcoming you back!
I stayed here with a group of friends and family over new years and we had an awesome time! This house is SO well equipped with tons of extra towels, bedding, and kitchen ware. It worked great for our larger group and the hosts were super accommodating with extra parking spots. It's also across the street from the path to Palisades so we walked the 20 minute walk to the village a few times, which was super convenient. I would definitely stay here again.
The house was in a terrific location, short walk to coffee and the village. Super easy to check in, and the house was very well equipped. We enjoyed the hot tub and sauna. Really nice features! Excellent communication with our host, Michele. Thank you!!

We are so pleased that you enjoyed your stay. You were wonderful guests and we hope you will visit again soon, Megan! You are welcome back anytime!
We enjoyed our stay and the beautiful landscape surrounding the home. The home was spacious and well equipped. We had a great time! Large balcony on the street side and wildflower haven out back. Fantastic location, close to Tahoe Palisades, bike trail, short drive to Lake Tahoe, but enough away to not have crowds everywhere you go.
The house was amazing!!! Equipped with all necessary kitchen utensils which made our stay more enjoyable. Very comfortable, spacious, clean. Overall, an amazing experience for our family. THANK YOU!!!

This is so great to hear! We are happy to know that it was such a great visit for you. Come back soon!
We had a group of 14 young professionals from the Bay Area going to Tahoe for some outdoor rock climbing and absolutely loved our stay here. The house was large enough to sleep all of us comfortably with only one person on one of the provided air mattresses. We made full use of the hot tub, sauna, close proximity to the lake, and fun games and puzzles provided! Would highly recommend this stay for a relaxing and spacious home for a big group of people!

Perfect Family Getaway!
The Forte’s house was perfect for our family of 5 (plus two friends). We comfortably fit 7 with lots of room for more! It is well maintained and very clean. The owner was quick to respond and is very easy to deal with. The house was easily accessible to Squaw ski area and The Village, only about a mile away — if you download the Mountaineer app for Squaw you can get free rides anywhere in the valley (we tipped the drivers well!) We will be back!

Thanks so much, Stacey. Be sure to come back soon!
Parking was great; covered walkways to get not house. The hot tub and sauna got a lot of use. Some inconsiderate prior guest rearranged the tv connections to accommodate Apple TV so no tv at all. However with the assistance of the host, and after several hours on a conference call, collectively it was fixed. Perhaps it was also an inconsiderate prior guest who used a brand new cake pan to cook something on the stove top and totally ruined the pan. I had to go to plan B for making a birthday cake for one of the guests.House could use some updating but the location of it to the Palisades ski area made up for a lot. We would return to this home.
No air conditioning, ripped screens on doors that had screens (not all doors had screens), so mosquitos came in. It was hot, so couldn’t open doors because of bugs. At least there were fans. Very comfortable space for family usage. Sheets were very old and worn.
My family with ours friends always love snowboarding. Every year, we try different ski resort around the country. And part of the is finding a place to stay and this house and host is perfect. Close to the ski resort and all you need is inside the house. Sometimes unwanted circumstance happed like our car was not turning on. I message the host and without any delay and hesitation, she even offered us to stay until the morning to be safe especially in a cold place.
Thank you so much!!!😊
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. The owner was very helpful and friendly and accommodating. It felt like staying at a relative's home. The kitchen had all of the utensils and dishes and cookware we could need. Lots of pillows, blankets and other linens. So much firewood and a great back area for kids to play. We loved having the trail across the street and being able to walk to the Village. We did need to bring a few cleaning items (dish soap, sponge, tissues) as those were low but one family of our group came later so they brought the items. The bottom floor gets very cold and only one space heater worked. Also, the kids felt another couch was needed because most of them sat on the floor for tv and games. But great bunk room with many beds. So many games and extra winter gear. We would definitely stay here again.

Please do come back! We are glad you had a wonderful visit. I agree it's usually chillier downstairs, with all the wonderful heat rising upstairs. Mountain living. :-)
We came for a wedding and the house was perfect for our group. The sauna and hot tub were awesome to have it and sleeps a ton of people. The place is a bit dated but it didn't bother us much. Great location if you're doing anything in Squaw Valley right on the main strip. Michelle was also super helpful and communicative when we were having some problems with the stay!

We took the family up for a week and had a GREAT Stay! Michele was outstanding to work with and communications where quick and detailed. The location of this property is great, with beautiful views of Olympic Valley. The house is well appointed, clean and family friendly. Highly recommend!
This was a great home for a family get together. We had 5 children with 6 adults. Everything was well stocked and very comfortable. The only drawback was the road noise at night during the summer when you wanted all the doors and windows open to cool off.

We are so glad you had a wonderful visit! I also love keeping some windows open at night to hear the evening sounds and nearly every evening we hear the coyotes out in the valley. It sounds like it might have been a pretty busy festival week when you were there. Come back anytime!!

Not the best choice for our family
Overall many things we’re lacking. The positives were location, views, outdoor living area, and the responsiveness of the property owner, Michelle. The negatives were noticeable as soon as we stepped in. At first impression the house looked dingy and tired. The front stairs were carpeted and stained. The downstairs bedroom with the bunk beds was dark, and mattresses were lumpy and uncomfortable. We also noticed that the futon in the game room was broken. Michelle told us that the previous guests had broken it, but she had already scheduled a handyman to come out. She also ordered lots of inflatable mattresses and those were delivered quickly. When the handyman came out the next day, he struggled to fix the futon, so he literally fixed it by wrapping the entire left side with duct tape! In all honesty the futon was so old and worn that it wasn’t even worth fixing; it should have gone straight to the dump. As for the main floor, the smaller bedroom that connects to the bathroom was unkept. The comforter, curtain, lamp shade, and mattress were ALL stained & worn. The kitchen drawers were old and some were hard to open. Fortunately the kitchen was very well equipped with every item you can think of, which was nice. But the main source of light, a chandelier only had 2 very small working light bulbs; the rest were burned out. The other issue with the kitchen was cleanliness. On day one I cleaned a little water that had spilled on the floor, and the napkin turned black. We had just arrived, so it was clear that the housekeepers hadn’t cleaned very well. The main living room was fine, but one lamp was broken. The biggest disappointment was finding out on day one that the spa was not working. Michelle informed me, and called a repairman to come out the next day. She also issued a $250 credit for the first night. The spa should have been ready by the evening of the 2nd day, but it never reached temperature so we didn’t get to use it until the 3rd day. When we finally got in it, we quickly noticed the water level drastically going down. Turns out the repairman left a loose hose, so the water drained out. Quite disappointing because the reason I chose this house, was because of the spa. All in all the negatives outweighed the positives, so I can’t say I would rent it again.

It's taken me so long to respond to this review because I, too, was so disappointed. We pride ourselves in caring for our home and offering our visitors a wonderful experience. The renters just before Gina and her guests absolutely ruined our place, broke many items including lights, beds, the futon (as noted by the reviewer), and left a ridiculous mess. They also broke the hot tub. Unfortunately our former cleaning crew did not elevate the concerns to us ahead of Gina's visit. We have a great service we work with now.
This is a beautiful home lovely view from the deck. This place has everything to do if you plan to bring your familys this home will be a perfect one. Will love to rent this beautiful homes again

We had a group of ten guests stay in this home for a long weekend and we loved it! The cabin was fully stoked with extra towels, linens, and a "Fairy Godmother Closet" full of extra snow clothes. The location was great, only a 2 minute drive from the ski resort.
The only thing to note is that there is a permanent tenant that lives in a connected house on the same property so it is not as large as the picture looks. It would be better described as a duplex not a home.

We are so glad you had a wonderful visit. Your description that this is more like a duplex is inaccurate. The home is large, and there is a small apartment to the far right on the property that is rented to a permanent tenant.
We needed to be near the village so my kids could do a Spartan Run. The location to the resort was perfect. The home was exactly like described and large enough for the nine of us. My granddaughters loved the hot tub. The house is supplied with everything you could need. The beds are comfortable. Nice linens. The owner was easy to work with and her directions/notes were helpful. We had one question during our stay, called Michele and she got right back to us with the answer. I would highly recommend staying here.

We love our home and love to spend as much time as possible visiting it! When we are not here, we love to share it with folks who are excited to spend special time in the mountains!
Why they chose this property
We spent much of our childhood skiing at Squaw during the winters and enjoying beautiful Squaw Valley and Lake Tahoe during summers. The air is clean and fresh and exhilarating. Evenings are gorgeous and magical with an unbelievable spread of stars that light up the sky.
What makes this property unique
The house is such a warm and inviting home. It's ideal for both quiet gatherings of a small group of friends and larger family reunions. It's also a perfect location for several couples and families to join together for a Tahoe visit or celebration.
