Great stay for our family! It was conveniently located a short drive away from the ski resort. The house was big enough for our group of 12. The kitchen was very well equipped and the house was well supplied. Communication was excellent. Would definitely stay here again!
The pre-trip communications were very helpful. The house was the perfect space for my group - 12 guys on a bachelor trip. The amenities were a nice to have. The location was perfect for our activities - Truckee, trail hiking, boat day, and beach activities all within 20 minute drive. 10/10 would stay again! Thanks Bob & RJ!
We had a great stay in this unique home in Palisades. The location, not far from the resort, was ideal. The house was supplied with all the amenities and the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare amazing meals for our large group. The huge front patio, hot tub, and fire pit gave us extra room to spread out and enjoy the beautiful weather. Our host, Bob, was extremely helpful and accommodating; we had no issues but knew he would be super responsive if there was an issue.
My family and I had such an incredible stay at this property. The host was very responsive and accommodating we absolutely loved everything and we will be coming back! We recommend this stay to everyone! Especially families and large groups :)
Amazing week in Tahoe…. The house is a fantastic location in Olympic Valley, with beautiful sights & so much to do in the area. Our host was excellent!
Very modern property with great amenities especially the fully stocked kitchen. Ample amounts of bed space and bathrooms. Short drive to Tahoe City and right by the ski mountain.

Thank you, we really enjoyed having you and we hope to see you again soon.
Family was there for The Broken Arrow Sky Race. Everything about the house was great!! Very comfortable and clean! Everything we needed was there. Located close to the Village. Bob was very good to communicate with. Will book this house again!
Great communication with owner, clean rooms, awesome hot tub, and plenty of outdoor games for the kids. Just a note that it does get a bit warm, and there aren’t many fans.

Hi Kim, thank you for wonderful review, it was truly a pleasure hosting you ;-) I wish i had known about the fans. I have several in the garage that I would have brought inside had I known you wanted them.
Our party stayed here because of a wedding at the Everline Hotel. I couldn’t recommend this location more. It was an easy walk to downtown Olympic Valley and plenty of hikes and restaurants. No problems with the property except some of the bedrooms and bathrooms could’ve been cleaner.

Couldn't have asked for a better place!!!
We had a large group celebrating a birthday and "The Bunker" couldn't have been better. Bob and Bill were the best hosts and were there if we had any questions. There are so many highlights of the house, but the patio was perfect for group dinners and s'mores. Awesome rooms & plenty of comfy beds. The location was epic being 20 mins from the lake and 2 minutes from Squaw. I don't know when, but I do know we'll find another reason to stay at "The Bunker!" Thank you again!

So many issues - house needs help and service was poor
We paid a very high price for this 'luxury' property with a great location... it was not at all worth it. When we arrived there was a smoke alarm squeaking, a filter warning on the fridge, and a disconnected cable box (direct TV) that wasn't working. We called about these issues - someone came out to change the smoke alarm (it wasn't a replaceable battery that we could have changed ourselves). They never did figure out the cable -- it was listed as an amenity but was not available. Those smaller annoyances were just the beginning. The hot water heater broke and we didn't have hot water the last two days of our stay and the heat was broken in the downstairs bedroom - which was 52 degrees and was essentially not usable. We called about the heat and the hot water a number of times; the person who answered told us that someone would get in touch with us and while they did finally call us back (I unfortunately missed the call), we never heard back again despite calling both numbers they left multiple times. With no hot water and no heat and a number of other issues (forgot to mention the leaky sink in the middle bathroom or the broken dishwasher door)... you'd think they'd make a little bit more of an effort to help out. We've been offered no discounts or apologies. The house needs repair. I should say that when the water stopped working we went to see if the pilot light was out on the water heater and found a note left from a plumber dated earlier this year outlining all of the problems -- so they knew there was an issue with the water heater that either the owners or property managers didn't fix. That's really not acceptable. This property is poorly kept and overpriced. Stay somewhere else.
Had a great experience. House was very clean and in a great location. Would definitely stay again.

Thank you, we’re glad we were able to exceed your expectations. You were wonderful guests and we hope to see you again ;-)
This house is in an absolutely perfect location for Palisades skiing, a very short drive from the parking there (and shops and restaurants too).
The best thing about the house itself is the great, large common area, with essentially two living room areas and the kitchen all in one. Perfect for the whole travel group to hang out together. The kitchen is very modern and incredibly well provisioned for cooking.
The hot tub is also really nice and was already heated to a cozy 104, and felt nice in the middle of a snow storm.
The description of the house on VRBO isn’t totally accurate, though. It’s actually a 5 bedroom house, with a master, a kind of weird extra bedroom that is connected to the master via the master bathroom (with no other path to the rest of the house), two bunk rooms with a total of 8 beds, and another bedroom at the lower level which is shown in the photos, but which was locked and inaccessible to us (which was kind of misleading but not an issue for us since we didn’t need that space).
A few weird issues with electrical items, which in the end seemed like blown fuses (more difficult to fix given lack of proper labels on the fuse box). Overhead lights in the master bedroom, dishwasher and garbage disposal all were out until some fuse box fiddling. Power also went out for an evening, but that was a neighborhood issue due to a storm, so nothing to do with the house itself. (In connection with that, we discovered that calling the central Vacasa — the rental agency — customer service is totally useless, but they do have local reps who are more helpful so get in touch with them about issues instead.)
Sometime during our stay DirecTV also went out, but that was probably just because of the really bad storm (whether clouds blocking the satellite or snow on the dish).
As is probably obvious by now, there was a big storm during our stay which had some negative impacts. Overall though, especially considering those circumstances, the house was very nice.

Hi, Matt. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. It is a great pleasure to hear you enjoyed the home overall, as well as the convenient location it offers. We will be passing this information along to our local manager to ensure these concerns are looked into further. We will also be checking to make sure we are providing the most up-to-date and accurate information on our listing. We appreciate you bringing these items to our attention, and we truly hope for the opportunity to host you again in the future!
My family and I really enjoyed our stay and use the house amenities! Plenty of room for all 16 of us! Great location, and plenty of parking for our 5 cars! Bev was very helpful and available to answer any questions! Thank you again for the hospitality!
Bev and Tuck’s house is beautiful! It was big enough for our family of 15 adults and 5 kids. The patio is huge and our room had access to the patio (rooms w bunk beds) the beds were so comfy , pillows are hotel quality. The kitchen is fully equipped with whatever cookware you may need. Very short drive to the entrance of Shirley Lake Trail which is quite enjoyable! It’s mostly uphill and we stopped at the 2st waterfalls about 20 minutes on the hike and took beautiful photos ! Save mart grocery is a short drive and they have everything! Thanks for the wonderful weekend spent bonding with our family!
We had an amazing time from cooking , sitting in the hot tub, grilling, the family hanging out on the beautiful deck, getting a massage on the massage chair. Enjoyed the sauna. The kids loved the Netflix while we cooked and we enjoyed playing card games. Just what we needed and easily fit for all 20 of us comfortably. Bev responded to us promptly and very kind. Very clean and had everything you could think of kitchen was tidy and well equipped, bathrooms were clean with towels and soap. Had great shampoo and conditioner products. Our family were here from out of town and were very impressed the amenities nearby. Had a perfect day at the lake. We will definitely come back again. Thank you! ❤️❤️

Mixed
I do not typically leave mixed reviews, but if I’m being honest I need to do so here.
On the positive side, they made an exception to their normal rental guidelines, which made the stay possible, and the owner (Bob) was very nice. It was a nice place and the group had a good time.
On the less positive side, we had some issues arise from ineffective communication somewhere between the property managers and the owner. Also, the owner lives on site and was a bit too ‘present’ at times (though very nice). Lastly, property managers have been slow to respond to a follow up about an item we think we left behind; (Wife/husband team; Bev responsive, Tuck not so much).
Our issues may have been unique, so maybe others need not be concerned, but the issues we encountered detracted from the experience.
I will leave it at that and spare you a long write up of all the details.

Lapsed communication, solid result
When our group of 17 arrived in Tahoe to check in, Bev and Tuck informed us that they had booked the property to another group and that we could not stay there. So unfortunately, we did not get to stay in this particular home, which seems from the other reviews to be a great place to stay! After suggesting we stay in a few other properties under their management - which unfortunately were not comparable to this property - Bev and Tuck were kind enough to call a friend of theirs, Charlie, who luckily had a property available. Charlie's house on Lanny Ln was absolutely wonderful, and our group had a great time. We appreciate that Bev and Tuck reached out to Charlie, and we would like to thank Charlie for accommodating us on short notice in his beautiful home.
