We have been coming to SummerBreeze and Miramar Beach for more than 40 years. It is still our favorite off season beach vacation spot due to the close proximity to the beach, views, and to Pompano Joe's! The complex is still beautifully kept, with the cozy, cottage feel from the white gingerbread trim and railings, and the metal roof. You literally feel like you have stepped back in time to the "old Florida" days of quaint, low density buildings, and away from the crowded high rise, heavy traffic areas. The only drawback to the complex, is that there is no elevator. No big deal when we were younger, but, in our golden years, we found that 3rd floor hike more challenging.The unit is beautifully decorated and updated. We loved the beach chairs and umbrellas left on the balcony which kept us from unloading ours and avoided bringing home the extra sand! The balcony furniture was so nice and inviting from the bar height table and chairs, the glider, and, bench. My favorite spot to sip my coffee, enjoy the view while reading a great book! Our only negatives, which are certainly personal preferences, were the lack of an ice maker or ice trays to allow for making ice for drinks, and, the bed was too firm for us. I'm sure it is a very nice expensive memory foam mattress, but, we are use to more plush comfort on our old tired bones.Overall, we had a relaxed weekend, filled with good food, a gorgeous beach, and, all the warm memories that flooded back to decades of family fun!!
