Willow Retreat is a stylish and modern vacation rental nestled in the peaceful Sky Valley Community. This beautifully designed A-frame offers the perfect blend of cozy charm and modern comfort, making it an ideal getaway for families, couples, or small groups of friends. Willow Retreat is dog-friendly ! Bring along your furry companions—up to two well-behaved dogs are welcome to join the adventure. With 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, the home comfortably sleeps up to 10 guests. Two main floor bedrooms each feature a queen bed, while the lower level offers a private retreat with a luxurious king bed. For additional sleeping space, there are pull-out sofas in both the loft and living area. Unwind by a wood-burning fire in the main living room (bring your own firewood), or head to the lower level for entertainment in the second living area, complete with a shuffleboard table and a smart TV for streaming your favorite shows (using your own streaming accounts).Step outside onto the deck, where you'll find a relaxing hot tub, firepit, and plenty of space to relax and soak in the natural beauty. Guests also enjoy access to Sky Valley Community's abundant amenities, including a swimming lake, kayak launch, and playground—fun for all ages. There is a strict 2 dog limit in this home. This home does not have air conditioning or cable tv; however, streaming is available using guest's own account. Max. parking spaces: 5

IMPORTANT TO KNOW: Minimum Age to Rent is 25 years old. Check-In is between 4 pm – 9 pm. Check-Out is by 10 am. Smoking/Vaping, Parties, Exceeding Max Occupancy or Pet Limit are not allowed.

WHAT TO BRING: Supplies are not provided; plan to bring all paper products, food/spices, coffee filters, trash bags, detergents, soaps, toiletries, household items, supplies and extra towels, if necessary. (Bed Sheets, Bath Towels, and Dishes are provided for max occupancy.)

WINTER RESERVATIONS: A 4WD vehicle is required to access rentals between November through April. Private driveways will not be snow-plowed unless and until there is 5 inches of snow.

RESERVATION PROCESS: (1) At time of booking- Electronically Sign the Rental Agreement to trigger your door codes and Pre-Arrival Information to be automatically sent. Door Codes will NOT be released without an e-signed agreement. (2) One day prior to arrival- You will receive Pre-Arrival Information that contains your door lock code, address and other important info. [If you do not receive it by noon that day, check your spam folder. If you still don't see it please call us directly to ensure a smooth check-in].

Secluded paradise

We had a pleasant time staying here. Very rustic ambience with a warm and secluded area. Hot tub was fantastic as well as amenities. Would definitely recommend a stay.

Wonderful home in peaceful environment

My family and I had an amazing time at the golden A frame. You can enjoy a peaceful night at the house or on the deck. If you want to venture out there a bunch of exciting things to see or do from hiking to see waterfalls, dinner at firewater with a beautiful water scene as the backdrop, or take a stroll by the lake. It was a relaxing time for all. We are grateful for the memories. The house is beautiful!

Nice A frame house in quiet neighborhood with access to the beach area.

The decor was minimalistic and tasteful. Our dog felt welcomed. The hot tub was a nice place to relax after all the water sports, mountain biking and hiking you can do in the area.

Great getaway

Great place to getaway and relax. I only gave it 4 stars because the cobwebs that are on all the beams, window frames and door frames. Otherwise we would stay here again.

Fall classic

Traveled from Florida to spend time in the mountains and visit family in Maryland. Enjoyed the location and hiking in nearby Deep Creek Lake State Park. The cabin design was interesting and accommodating. I was surprised at how well my dog managed the spiral staircase. A few hard to reach cobwebs were noticed but the weekend escape with my daughter & grandson was a good time. Highly recommended!

Fun A Frame Chalet

Well thought out space in this A-Frame chalet. I have two children who adored the upstairs with the swing chairs and the down stairs games. We were there for skiing but had poor weather, however it was easy to stay inside a whole day with minimal issues. Very relaxing.

Perfect Getaway!

This was our second brief stay at this comfy home this summer and we will be back again. As before, the home was clean with essential amenities including bedding, towels, and soaps. The quiet, wooded location is a perfect setting. We were able to take advantage of the community lake access on a lovely sunny day and come back to the cabin's outdoor fireside seating, and deck hot tub. While the cabin has many TV's and games, what we especially enjoyed this trip was listening to the collection of old 45 records on the small record player!

Great Place!

My husband and I booked Golden A-Frame as a birthday getaway for just us. Due to some unforeseen circumstances we ended up taking our three children as well. We all had a wonderful time and the house was just what I had imagined!! Plenty of room for all of us, very clean, and well stocked. There were also lots of games and activities for my children, including board games, movies, and even crayons and coloring paper. We will definitely return!

Cozy winter stay!

My husband and I and our two daughters absolutely loved our stay at the Golden A-frame! The neighborhood is quiet and secluded. The house is so beautiful with such great touches! We lucked out with our stay and timed it during major snowfall which added to the beauty! Thank goodness for our 4WD! Or two pups were not impressed with the cold temps and snow, but loved the woodstove. They were scared of the sprial open staircases, so we ended up carrying them up and down as needed. We would definitely recommend staying at this charming house!

Relaxed family vacation

The house was very nicely appointed and had everything we needed. Very tranquil having neighbors on only one side. It was just the right size for our family of four. The only negative feedback was that it wasn't super clear about how far from the community swim & boat area. Also if people want to store water craft at lake side they need to work it out separately with property manager. We got everything sorted fortunately.

Pretty place, unfortunately lackluster

Went for my birthday and stayed 2 nights. The place was very pretty although it seemed like there may have been something’s put together fast to turn it over and rent out. Loose flooring, switches that did nothing, we were also without power for a while. Bedding seemed like it wasn’t cleaned before our stay. Over all it was decent, but felt housekeeping could’ve been better.

Nice getaway

The cabin was small but had everything we needed for a nice weekend. We had some trouble with the code and not being able to re-enter the property but the property management team worked with me to get us in. They were very helpful and I appreciate their patience and knowledge of working through the issue as I was a little stressed about it. We played the games in the lower level. My dog was afraid to use the spiral stairs so we didn’t utilize the upper level and took our pup to the lower level from the outside. The kitchen was stocked with utensils and cookware. We also enjoyed the hot tub and cooked some hot dogs on the grill. We had a nice time here.

Cute house

The pictures online matched the property perfectly. The only reason I gave it a 4 on cleanliness is due to cobwebs up in the windows and tall parts of the ceiling but it was clean. I did have to reach out to management when we arrived because when I turned on the water there was dirt in the water. The management company told me that the hot tub had been serviced that day and to just run the water a few minutes. That seemed to do the trick. We decided to use the hot tub on the last day but when we lifted the cover there was dirt all in the bottom of the hot tub. I did not contact anyone because it was our last day and not worth the service call. The house is adorable and the owners have done a great job fixing it up. I would stay here again without question.

This property was not ready for us when we checked in. The driveway, walkway and deck was not cleared of snow when we arrived. It took several calls and negotiations to get a response from the property management company. The property management company told us there is a snow shovel near by and salt is next door. The main bathroom sink does not drain, loose tiles in the bathroom, missing window trim in the living room and cob webs throughout the property - very dusty. This property is not well maintained.

Golden Stay

Overall we had a great stay at the Golden A-Frame! The house was exactly as pictured, which I thought couldn’t be possible! Super stylish furnishings, which were actually functional and comfortable! Lots of special touches - a record player with assortment of vinyl, games (we played the Deep Creek Monopoly), and ample linens to make everyone comfortable. Hot tub was thoroughly enjoyed by all. Was missing a few things that really would have made our stay perfect - no wine or bottle opener, no sand or powder for shuffleboard table making it completely unusable (huge bummer because I was really looking forward to using this), no chalk to keep score on the dartboard score chart, and only one roll of toilet paper for entire house (no toilet paper at all in the upstairs bathroom). Also would have appreciated a neighborhood map with some information on where water access was located and where the basketball court was. We brought our ball in hopes of playing, but walked the neighborhood for over an hour and couldn’t find it. Again, beautiful house and location with a lot of special touches but missing some things that hopefully can be easily corrected because we would love to stay here again!

Fun weekend getaway

We had a great time! We enjoyed the hot tub. The place could use some dusting and cobweb clean up. And the upstairs bathroom shower head barely put out water. But over all this place worked well for our weekend getaway!

Honest Opinion!

House was nice there were issues but I won’t write them on the review. I let the owner know and hopefully that get resolve they stated they would refund me and I’m still waiting for that to happen. Other than that I would give the house a 3. Definitely in a secluded part of deep creek. But the outside needs to be cleaned up with a deep clean there are webs everywhere which makes you not even want to go outside. The hot tub we didn’t use didn’t look to be cleaned.

Amazing 🤩

The property is beautiful, has everything you need and very well decorated. It kept the kids so busy they didn’t want to leave (they loved the loft area and the basement level). Lots of extra towels which is a plus. We will definitely be back in the summer!

Dirty

The house was cute but could use a really good cleaning. There were stains on the bedding, floors and walls were filthy, and the fridge was disgusting. The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything. We enjoyed the hot tub and outside area. The hot tub could have also been cleaner. I would not book this cabin again.
