Excellent location at sugar mtn! We came up to enjoy the downhill mtn bike park. We were able to ride our bikes to the lift from the house. The house was perfect for a weekend getaway and two families. Will definitely try to book this one when we return next year.

Well furbished with all the comforts of home. Loved all the bottles with labels and basics needed, like body wash and detergent, little things that one doesn't really think of till you are there! Only suggestion is maybe adding a mesh barrier around the stair well rails and mesh gat at the top! Otherwise this is by far the best vacation rental we have ever been in!

We had a wonderful stay! The place was exactly as described — cozy, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. The amenities were excellent and made everything feel easy and convenient, from the well-equipped kitchen to the comfortable bedding. It’s clear the property is very well managed and cared for, which we really appreciated. The only small thing to note is that the walls are a bit thin, so we occasionally heard slight noise from the neighboring condos. It wasn’t disruptive, just something to be aware of.Overall, a fantastic stay and we would absolutely book again!

Superb! Bright and cozy, beautiful views from large windows and two large balconies/decks. Comfy couch and beds, loved privacy of each bed and bath on a separate floor. Well stocked kitchen - newer high end appliances and TWO styles of coffeemakers! Prompt replies from hosts, very accomodating when we needed to change dates due to illness. Lots of personal touches throughout from welcome package to binder with house details, games and puzzles. Loved the generously sized soft towels, two full sets per bath! The entire condo smelled fresh and clean. Truly a perfect vacation spot. Highly recommend.

Great Mountain vacation

Described exactly how the property looks and feels. Near the top.of sugar mountain so you feel away from it all but not isolated. Beautiful views with a ton of windows. Went with my wife, sister in law, and her wife. With an up stairs and downstairs we had plenty of privacy but also could all hangout upstairs or om the porch with plenty of room. The beds are great, everything you need to cook, and a gas grill outside. The hosts are great and responded with in minutes on a couple of questions we had. Strongly recommend staying on your next trip. We will for sure be back!

What makes this property unique

This cabin is dedicated to two Amazing Grandparents

My grandparents had me on skis before I could even walk. Some of my best childhood memories are of ski trips with them, carving through the snow, laughing, and sharing hot cocoa after a long day on the slopes. Back then, we would wake up at 5:00 AM just to be the first ones on the mountain by 8:00, and we wouldn’t leave until the lifts stopped running at night.
Learning to ski with them was an adventure in itself. There were no fancy enclosed lifts on the beginner slopes—just an old-school rope tow with a wooden seat, and if you didn’t keep your skis straight, you’d end up on the ground, being dragged up the hill. The chairlifts didn’t have safety bars, and to this day, I have no idea why they let my brother and me ride alone at just five and seven years old. My brother, of course, would bounce the chair all the way up, while I sat there, holding on for dear life.
But skiing wasn’t just about the sport. It was about the time spent together—the early mornings, the shared excitement, and the quiet moments riding up the mountain, just taking it all in. Skiing was a piece of me, something I didn’t fully appreciate until they were gone.
That’s why I wanted their memory to live on in a place that feels like home, a place where adventure and love come together.

Dedicating this cabin, Herman’s Hideaway, to them is my way of keeping their spirit alive—so that every snowfall, every ski run, and every quiet mountain morning carries a piece of their legacy.
