Beautiful old Victorian House. We enjoyed staying there while exploring the area including Knoebels and AAOA. Sugggestions: hooks to hang toels in the bathroom and a table in each bathroom to put things while showering.

Great wheelchair accessible home( minimal assistance would be needed)Comfortable and cozy and clean. The hosts are very quick to respond to any questions and it is listed accurately. Would recommend for large families and close to AOAA for trails-

This was a great spot for our family to end our days of time at Knoebels and AOAA trails. The property is unique in character. Beds were comfortable and we had plenty of space for the 11 of us. Not the best showering experience . House was stocked with all the necessities you would expect to need. Would consider returning in the future .

Family Reunion

Great place to stay

We took our adult children for a weekend away to ride the AOAA trails. This was the perfect place. It was close to the trails and had everything we needed. Communication was great and we enjoyed our stay.

Great Location

Great spot close to AOAA. Nicely fixed up farm house that accommodated our group perfectly. Hosts were quick and helpful to deal with. Will definitely be back at this property.

Great place to stay for a Knoebels weekend! Enjoyed the fire pit and the dark sky viewing. Never did find the ping pong table but still had a great time

AOAA Housing

Spent a Couple days Wheeling at AOAA. Stayed at The Victorian through Vrbo. Great rustic older house that met ALL our expectations. Had a great time Wheeling and came back to a very comfortable house to relax and rest for the next day of Off-Roading.

We went to aoaa to ride for the weekend. House was 5 minutes from park.. all in all very good weekend. House was clean it was older house had everything you needed besides food.. would definitely stay there again.. it was clean for what it was..

My family of 5 stayed for a few days while we visited the area (Knoebels, and the Pioneer coal mine tunnel & train tour in Ashland). This house is nice and large and accommodated everyone in their own room. There is one bedroom and one bath downstairs, and 4 bedrooms and one bath upstairs. The beds and pillows are firm ( I would have preferred softer, but it was fine for a few days). I believe there were TVs in all bedrooms except for the one with the double bunk beds upstairs. Each room also had a window unit air conditioner. Note that both showers are not "self-contained" within the bathroom, so water will be all over the floor (be careful not to slip!). The kitchen had everything we needed, and we appreciated the laundry facilities too. We loved the fire pit and the fact that there was wood and a "starter log" onsite. My dad got really comfortable in the recliner chair in the living room. Overall we had an excellent stay, and if you love original Victorian architecture, you'll love this house!

ATV Riders

It's an ideal house for folks visiting Anthracite Outdoor Adventure Area. We rent 2 campsites and 2 homes every time we come up and this house is by far my favorite. The beds are plentiful, the baths are big, and the outside seating area is large. This was our 2nd year renting this home and it won't be our last.

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Victorian farmhouse in Shamokin. It was a great location for connecting with our families and visiting Knoebels Amusement Resort. When I wanted to report a dripping shower head ( just for fyi) the owner was friendly and responsive. The house was well-stocked with necessities. We wondered if the window air conditioners would be adequate but there are also multiple pencil fans and we were quite comfortable. It was a great week.

Weekend visit to Knoble’s

The house was adequate…. It was big enough for some extended family and clean and comfortable BUT it was an old house that needs some attention here and there like weird showers, doors that don’t shut properly and a steep uneven driveway. It’s functional but not a fancy place.

Great for AOAA access

Nice place to stay, plenty of room. We were able to stretch out and relax at night. It is an older house, the floors creak, the rooms are odd, but it has character. We stayed during the winter and it was warm inside. We would have liked to use the outdoor firepit and grill. The driveway is on a bit of a slope and there is an upper parking lot. We were able to manage the car trailers by leaving them at AOAA overnight. We would definitely rent here again.

Property was great for family comjng from several directions get together so we could play catch-up. Very comfortable. Appreciated the many ammenities available to us.The only negative were the bathrooms. Even after using squeegy floor quite slippery. Handicap issue. If using wheel chair it would have been OK however a bench would have been appreciated for those of us using a cane. Cane slips. Pictures of property had bench in shower.Bottom line however was it was a pleasant trip.

Best Vacation House Yet

From booking to check out Neil and Chris provided stellar communication. They were more than accommodating. The house was spotless, roomy, and had everything we needed. Beds were comfortable and the living area was great. Fully functional kitchen with everything needed to cook great meals. Outside barbecue area and fire pit were an added bonus. The fact the the house was set up for people with mobility issues was so appreciated. AOAA was literally 2 minutes away and so many farm stands and wineries were pretty close. We could not have asked for a better stay and we would change nothing. Thank you so much Neil and Chris
