Matt was a great host and the listing was accurate. It is a nice cabin overlooking Minister Pond, very peaceful. There were ants inside, but this is to expected for the location. The bed was comfy and the cable access was nice too. I enjoyed my stay.
The cottage was really cute and clean. There was a bit of a problem when checking in, but Matt was responsive when I needed to call him. The view off the back deck was wonderful. So many birds to watch. Great location the the national seashore beaches and restaurants.
Very nice place. It’s quite tiny, but as a solo traveler it was very comfortable. The kitchen is very well equipped. There were a couple of minor technical glitches (broken window cranks, stuck drain mechanism in bathroom sink) but Matt was very responsive. I would definitely consider staying there again.

The cottage was cute with a deck and pretty water views. It was on a pond with access to boats and swimming nearby. Unfortunately there was no cable or streaming for tv or WiFi access. I think I might have been charged a cleaning fee as part of the rental charge. If so it should be reimbursed because it was not very clean. I found myself cleaning. The owner was responsive to texts but did not address WiFi. There was air conditioning but the air conditioners were filthy so as a person with allergies and asthma it felt unsafe.

Sweet cabin, no Wi-Fi
Location was great. Cabin was sweet and somewhat rustic. Wi-Fi had been promised in the booking but we never had Wi-Fi. Property manager said he would remedy that but it didn't happen and there was minimal communication about it. Also we got minimal info ahead about what we needed to bring. You have to bring your own sheets and towels, but it was not mentioned in any of the information. Otherwise it's on a beautiful little pond with a beach a short walk from the cabin, a nice little back deck for meals overlooking the water. Close to the bike trail and convenient to many beaches. Was mostly clean and very cozy.
My owner emailed me in July 2025 for an August 11 - August 15 stay to tell me there was an error between his schedule for rentals and the dates VRBO had posted. This was after I had paid for the week. My bank was contacted and a fraud claim initiated. I was planning to attend a continuing ed workshop and to stay in Eastham, as I have done before. Fortunately, even though my VRBO fell through (?) I just completed a virtual attendance at the workshop which was wonderful. Needless to say, this experience has left a very negative impression and, in the future, I will look to a competitor for a vacation rentals.
I had a great stay in this adorable cabin. Comfy and well supplied. I did not need to run out to get anything. It was neat and tidy, the bed was very comfy. I enjoyed the TV at night, the pond every day and all the nearby beaches. (I missed a few so I have to come back) The local take outs were great, and within a short drive.
I had a National Parks pass for the National seashore , and hit the local beaches after 4 when they have no $30 fee.

Nauset haven cottage 1 Aug12-19/2023
No Host response to msgs or phone calls for 2 weeks before start - VRBO couldn’t reach him but offered a change – host did answer 2 days prior. Dirty pots, dishes, glasses & cutlery not clean - Cleaners don’t check. Greasy pots & rack above stove nearly fell off wall – had to fix. BR blind broken – no darkening. Hot water tank quit 3 days prior – part arrived 8 days later. A/C won’t cool below 78F. Slippery floor rugs – we’re seniors – fall prevention. NOT a Happy vacation, very stressful. Rating 3/5 vs VRBO 5/5. Reported to host throughout visit & requested compensation – no reply. Never had problems with other Eastham rentals 2000-2014. VRBO must take up problems with host. Request VRBO partial refund in view of many serious problems.
Well located close to cost guard beach and nauset lighthouse.
The cottage is small and can accomodate only 2 adults.
The access to the cottage is not easy for people taking their bike or walking du to the main busy road accessing the place. It is very dangerous if you want to get out with your bike (no access to the bike trail which is the opposite side of the busy road).
No beach sticker comes with the cottage which is annoying as all the beaches/lakes arround requiere a beach sticker unless you go by bike (but again the busy raod make it very dangerous). All in all, the place is quiet and close to nice beaches and lakes.
Cute and very well laid out cottage on a beautiful pond, yet seconds from Rt 6. Owner seemed to think of everything one night need. Bed was extremely comfortable. Outside seating was wonderful. After dozens of trips to Cape this was our first on a pond and a great experience. I do hope we can return in the future. Cottage is bigger than photos suggest. Perfect for two.
My husband and I spent a week in the cabin. We enjoyed it, especially the location and the deck. Would recommend that Matt consider offering a linen package to guests because we had to purchase sheets and towels there as we traveled from California.
Convenient Location, great view from deck, comfy bed.
The property was clean, the queen size bed was very comfortable, and it has a beautiful view of the pond off the back deck. The house is small, but for one or two people it is all you need.
The well appointed cottage is prefect home base for exploring all the Cape offers.
The cottage is perfect for a couple and we enjoyed the lovely view of the pond and the close proximity to the National Seashore. This is a wonderful home base, with short drives to Ptown and Hyannis. It is a very quiet and restful place and Matt was extremely helpful in pointing out great sites like the sunset at First Encounter Beach...do not miss it! We will be back next visit to Cape Cod. Wonderful getaway weekend in the perfect little cottage!
This cottage was the perfect spot for a getaway weekend to the Cape. It was so close to everything, perfectly located close to larger areas like Orleans and a little bit longer to Provincetown! Also close to multiple beaches and restaurants right in town, which is really convenient. The view of the pond especially from the back porch was so peaceful, especially since the location is so quaint. Some might not prefer the noise of the traffic from Route 6, but with the doors closed and the AC on it is completely muffled. I could go on and on but highly, highly recommend this place for two. Matt was extremely kind, helpful, and easy to contact as well which supports his high ranking on VRBO as a superhost! Thanks for a great weekend!
Cozy cabin with some nice finishes inside. We loved the view of the pond just outside - views from living room and right from the windows at the foot of the bed. You can hop right onto rt 6 to get anywhere on the Cape. Helps to keep front door closed if the traffic bothers you in the woodsy ambiance, but it's not too bad.
This cottage was absolutely perfect for our stay in cape cod. Awesome location with views right on the lake but also easy access to everything via route 6. Super clean and well maintained. I would live there if I could!
We had a delightful time at our cottage on Minister's Pond! The cottage was a perfect size for the 2 of us and the view of the pond was so calming! We took out the boats a couple times and though there were other families staying in nearby cottages, we felt like we had the whole pond to ourselves!
Matey was super responsive and called the first day to give some extra recommendations. We will definitely be back!

I fell in love with Cape Cod years ago when I used to come here with my dad. When I saw this little cottage, I knew it would be a great opportunity for me and my family to be closer to this magical place. I feel blessed to be able to share it with others.
