My great little cottage is located across the road from Great Pond, a fresh water lake. It's half a mile from the bay (First Encounter Beach) and a mile from the ocean (Coast Guard Beach). The bicycle path, which you can take all the way up to Provincetown, runs right behind the property.
There is an open kitchen/dining/living area, three small bedrooms and one bathroom. We have a microwave, toaster, coffee maker, kettle, lobster pot, bakeware, hand mixer, blender, an outdoor shower, screened-in porch, and a charcoal grill.

Anne’s cottage has special meaning to me and my kids. It has exactly what we need to focus on family time in one of our favorite destinations! We’ve been staying for long enough that we’ve made friends with the neighbors who are welcoming and helpful. You can’t ask for more than that!

Great little cottage on Great Pond
Great rustic cottage! Step from beautiful pond. WiFi is terrific. The place is minimal but that is exactly how we liked it. Kept us outside enjoying Eastham. Thanks Anne for a terrific stay. Hope to be back next year.

It was my second time at the cottage and I love the view and proximity to the bike trail for walking the dog. The new floor and siding was a nice surprise on arrival and it made the upkeep during my stay at so nice. Eastham beaches are wonderful and I cannot wait to go back to the Cape.

Sunset across the street
This is truly a rustic cottage. I could not deal with camping (bugs and no shower?), but this is the next best thing. Great Pond is across the street and my wife likes to get up early and take her cup of coffee and a book across the street in the morning. I can sit on the screened in porch, even when it rains, and look at emails on my computer or pay bills. in the evening, the sun set is right in front of you - it's great. During the day there is the ocean and the bay and any kind of shops you might want to go to.

Adorable Rustic Cottage
After spending the first two hours cleaning the floors, counters, stove, sinks, furniture, etc. of accumulated sand, dirt, bugs, dog hair, etc. we settled in for an amazing vacation in a darling cottage only a ten second walk from a gorgeous fresh water pond. We had a wonderful time and my husband I are already signed up for next summer. The beds could use some updating, as could the floors, but too many updates would ruin the character of this quaint, rustic cottage. Staying there for 2 weeks was like stepping back in time. The owner is very nice and easy to work with (and a talented artist, too). A few of the many unforgettable amenities: the outdoor shower, the screened in porch overlooking Great Pond and sunset), the continual cool breeze off the water even on the hottest days, the short walk to the bike trail behind the house, the privacy, and so many others. We had a great time.

Glad that you enjoyed my place! The beds, floors and cleaning crew will all be updated when you return next summer.
And thanks for your comments about the house, the location and the art.
Best,
Anne
The cottage was rustic and adorable. Nothing fancy, but the location (for what we wanted) was perfect. Directly across from Great Pond. Minutes from First Encounter Beach (great for families with small children…at low tide you can walk out into the bay for 3/4 of a mile!! . And a very short distance to Coast Guard Beach (truly amazing)! Best take out pizza I’ve ever had at Red Barn Pizza (they know what they are doing here and so does the staff; unlike many other establishments ramping up the summer help.) We love The Cape. The nature is beautiful; we were there right before the crowds; however, the tall grass and wooded properties are a perfect environment for ticks. One tick is too many. We have encountered four! One, and hopefully only one, followed us home. Having been diagnosed and having dealt with the symptoms of Lyme disease, this is a public health issue.

Lovely Spot!
This little rustic cottage was the perfect getaway for My husband and I and our pups. The location is easy access to to all of our favorite spots on the Cape. Overlooking the pond at sunset was amazing. Bring your own supplies and no expectations and this will be a vacation to remember!
We enjoyed our stay at this property. The highlight, for us, was sunset every day. Sitting on the screen porch, the view over Great Pond is wonderful. The clouds and colors are ever changing. Eastham and the neighboring towns of Wellfleet and Orleans have numerous options for dining out. Access to bay and ocean beaches is very easy.
This cottage is in a fantastic location. Near everything and a short drive to First Encounter Beach, where you can catch a beautiful sunset if you are not already looking at one from the property where you have a fantastic view of Great Pond. The cottage is well equipped for games, reading and everything you need in the kitchen. The house is a little run down and could use a bit of TLC and updating. Overall a great place to stay!
We loved being practically on Great Pond and within seconds of the bicycle rail trail. Quick access to beaches on the bay or seashore. Cottage was perfect for my wife and I and our two dogs; nothing fancy but comfortable, bathroom newly remodeled with plenty of high pressure hot water. The heat worked well (we needed it the week before Memorial Day). Beware the ticks on Cape Cod, seems worse than in previous years.
I loved this cottage which was just across the street from Great Pond Beach, about a mile from First Encounter Beach on the bay and several miles from National Seashore Beaches. It was wonderful for me and my dogs, with a yard space to walk them in when we weren't going to the beaches. It was well equipped and furnished with just the things one needs. Thank you Anne for givinig me a space for much needed R & R. It was also fairly quiet area and only 1/2 mile from the Bike trail. My cousin came for last 3 days and we had a great time. Emily
We loved staying at this cottage! Great view of the lake, cozy, rustic, comfy. I would definitely stay there again. Ann was immediately available for any questions. Thanks again for a great week!
We loved staying here. The location was fantastic, being right across the street from the beach and boat dock. There is a wonderful view of the water and sunset. The rail trail is just up the back road so you don’t have to ride on the street. We would love to stay longer than one week next time.

The cottage is a bit rustic, a couple steps up from tenting. Trees surround it making it feel cool and cozy. A great view of the pond across the street. Sat many evenings sipping wine and admiring the beautiful sunsets. Dogs are allowed and our little Shelby enjoyed the beach watching the ducks. I don’t think 4 adults would be comfortable sleeping as the beds are small. The cottage could use a new floor as it is impossible to clean and keep clean. The bathroom is newer and very clean. We enjoyed our stay and be able to bring our dog was a big plus.

Little Things
We first arrived to find no linens or towels. Owner told us that's typical for the Cape. We disagree. Found no toilet paper. Immediately find a store. Hot water smells terrible. Drains clogged or very slow. Water pressure was bad. Ants in the Kitchen. It's the little things that can give you a sour taste. Other than that it was great.
Great location, close to bay and ocean beaches and across from the Great Pond town beach. Easy to walk across the street to kayak or SUP or swim. Cottage is cozy and comfortable. Nice screened in porch from which to see some amazing sunsets over the Pond. Love the new outdoor shower!! My dog also gives it 5 stars (paws?). Close to dog friendly nature walk to inlet where he can swim in Great Pond.

I inherited this place from my mother. I live in NYC, and don't spend enough time on Cape Cod! But it's so great to know it's there.
Why they chose this property
Location. Near 3 kinds of water! And the bike path to Provincetown.
What makes this property unique
Great for families, it's so easy to get to the beach with your kids, just cross the road! And the sun sets into Great Pond every night.
