About this property

No Host Fees! Lovely, well equipped, dog friendly home, 3 blocks from the beach!

Our 2 bathroom 2 bedroom, alone with two couches that pull out to queen beds, is perfect for your next getaway. Solo trips or groups up to 8 this home has everything you'll need. A quick 3 min walk to the beach, a well equipped kitchen, fenced backyard, and much more.

At the end of the block there is a coffee cart with a large assortment of beverages and right next to them is a food cart with amazing hotdogs!!! Both are a must when staying at The Beacon.

The heart of town is just a short walk up the road but you can usually find a parking place if you choose to drive. There are train rides, wonderful candy shops and of course cute little shops up and down the main strip.

When you're done for the day you can head on back to the house and enjoy a lovely mountain view from the back deck!

Great house with plenty of amenities, privacy and a 3 minute walk to the beach. It's clean and decorated very nicely yet still feels comfy. This past weekend was our 2nd stay there. Will return again!

We arrived and loved the house. It had everything we needed and we were looking forward to relaxing and enjoying our time there. Unfortunately, the first night there the area had a really bad wind and rain storm which knocked out the power to quite a large area around us. We tried to wait it out but power wasn't going to be restored any time soon due to all the damage in the area so we had to leave the next day. The host was very understanding and we received a partial refund. I will definitely book this house again in the future.

Kitchen is stocked better than I have ever seen before. Lots of movies and games. Large selection of toys and games for kids and dogs. (We don't have dogs and didn't feel like we were in a dog friendly home except for the dog treats and toys.) Super comfy chair.It was nice to be able to park the boat. Backing it down the long driveway was necessary but not a problem The photo is of the cooler of crab we left outside (crab was cooked and cleaned at the docks) and the boat. The hosts are super nice and have decorated the house nicely. There are lots of blankets but we did not need them.

We loved the board games and that every one of us could sit at the table together. The kitchen set up and space was AMAZING. We made a few dishes and had everything within arms reach. Every person had a place to sleep and it was spacious but cozy at the same time! Absolutely wonderful stay and would LOVE to rebook in the future. Also the beach being so close was a huge perk:) Thank you Again! --The Shoops

The kitchen is stocked with lots of cooking gear even spices. The family room has lots of books to choose from, movie options, variety of games, and children's activities. There are even treats and games available for the dogs (we aren't dog owners and the place did not smell or feel like a dog place).The hosts were very responsive and supportive to problems of my creation.We brought our boat and were able to park it in front of the house (it did require backing it down a somewhat long shared driveway). The photo shows the boat, car, and cooler filled with crab that was caught, cooked, and cleaned at the bay. We left it outside in the cooler so as to not crab smell the house.

Fam weekend getaway

My husband, two small kids, and I had the best time at Katie’s place. We loved the living room, especially the cozy oversized armchair. The beds were comfy and the place was even decorated for the holidays! We would definitely stay again.

Pet area was wonderful. The microwave was very dirty inside and outside. I was concerned that the downstairs windowunlocked and dryer full of linens. I couldnt get the shower to work or the uostaurs bedroom tv. Besides thise things, the home was comfortable, relaxing and i had a wonderful time. I would stay again, but think its important to let owners know what the cleaners missed. I did a little craft and left as a thank you :)

The location is perfect, the house is cute, fun, clean and filled with anything you could need! There's a large kennel, food water bowls, even leashes. If you forgot something it is very likely already here! We really hate to leave are already looking forward to coming back. Very quiet neighborhood and hummingbirds to watch.

Amazing location and value

We were extremely impressed. The owners communication was great. It was close to the beach and to town. The home was spacious and had a huge deck. The owners went above and beyond with little "extras" throughout the house. I would highly recommend this property and definitely plan to stay again.

After Christmas De-stress

We super enjoyed our 3 overnight stay. Started off with straightforward house instructions, the house had everything we needed including really nice extras for our dog! The yard was wonderful, there were towels, treats, baggies, dishes, & even a XLarge crate upstairs! The extra touches didnt stop there. We loved the Christmas decor, the comfy beds, clean bathrooms (w/ all the necessities incase you forgot yours), and overall a really clean & quiet house. Would definitely stay again! Thank you so much guys for providing such a beautiful peaceful place. Happy holidays everyone!

Hello! My husband and I are born and raised Oregonians! As a child I spent many days and nights at the beach with my grandparents at their home in Waldport. I still hold those memories close to my heart. When my husband and I were married we found ourselves pulled to the beach time and time again. It has been a dream of ours to have a little place at the beach and be able make lifelong memories with our two girls.

Why they chose this property

We just LOVE Rockaway! We have been coming here for almost 10 years and find it to be the perfect little beach town. Cute little shops, great seafood, an amazing deep beach, and a lovely community of people. Only 2 hours from Portland it's quick and beautiful drive.

What makes this property unique

We are a dog friendly house with a very well equipped kitchen. With a BBQ, fenced backyard and plenty of room for everyone!
