When I read your message, after midnight, I was surprised that you had had difficulty finding the place, since my confirmation letter has very specific directions. But since you only called once I assumed you had gotten in. Your next call was two days later at 9:49 am to say that you were leaving, which I didn't think required an immediate response, but I did get back to you at 10:40 am. So I'm sorry that you feel that I was not sufficiently responsive, and I will try to do better if you return. Regards, Rosemary

Sorry Vickie that a previous guest put dirty mugs in the cupboard or left a mess in the microwave. The computer screens you refer to are art pieces that are for sale and they. are not on my property. My listing accurately depicts my furnishings.

Michael, I'm so sorry to read this. You had all my contact info and yet I didn't hear from you. You certainly should have gotten more towels and I would have corrected that immediately, and sent the cleaner to redo the shower. The air filter in the a/c is cleaned regularly so I assure you there's no mold in there. I'm sorry you felt ill and hope you're feeling better now.

I can’t say I’m surprised to see this review. Peter booked three weeks from me and cancelled two of them, once citing work and once citing the “roach” issue. The guests before him left early so I offered him the nights before at a steep discount. He didn’t book them, but took the opportunity to check himself in early, as my cleaner found him in the room at 8 a.m. It is not shocking that the issues he complained about are not mentioned in other reviews – in the five years that this unit has been continuously rented, no one else has seen a roach. Most guests don’t cook or eat there, and food does not get left there. My cleaner cleans 50 apartments weekly and has never heard of a problem in this development or elsewhere, nor has my realtor. I was surprised that someone who lives in a fifth floor apartment in NYC could be “freaked out” by roaches. Nevertheless, I invited him to buy pesticides at my expense, which he did. The guest who came in immediately after Peter has had no problem. My goal has been to offer an affordable and comfortable stay at a beautiful place, and most of my guests have appreciated that, as shown by their repeat visits and favorable reviews on this and other sites. I’m sorry that we didn’t meet Peter’s expectations, and I hope that he finds a place more to his liking.
