Clean, as described studio apartment in a gated community on the far West side, Makaha. Pool and community barbecue area well maintained. Laundry room located within the complex. Very helpful staff in the main office.
We had a great stay. The property has amazing views. It is away from the tourists and we really enjoyed that. There are great beaches nearby. Overall it was a great value. The peacocks were fun!!

Finding the correct apartment was a bit confusing. There were no clean towels out and it was difficult to get in touch with the owner to know where they were. There were nice updates to the place, but still some things that need attention such as ability to open patio door and dustiness of air filter and air vent in shower.
We had a great stay! The place was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. Check-in was smooth, and the host was responsive and friendly. The location was convenient, had a great view of the pool and mountains! We really appreciated the thoughtful touches. Would definitely stay here again!

Awesome place, really liked the location which gave us a chance to get to know real Oahu :) the place has plenty of equipment which makes our stay easier. Found some of the cutleries dirty when we arrived, as well as the pans and pots. Had to re-wash them.

This was an amazing place! It was just the right size for a studio. Had the perfect little balcony and everything you could think of. Host was very friendly.
Parking was a little bit difficult if you were there on a weekend and left on a weekend. Had to use the visitors parking and walk a distance.
Could use a new TV, it was going out and turn up the water heater. Some people still like hot showers in Hawaii. :-)
Definitely five out of five! Would love to stay here again!
What an excellent location and peaceful spot. We would highly recommend this 720 unit over looking the pool while on the balcony. Love the views of the mountains and the sound of the peacocks in the morning.

The studio apartment was as advertised, although there really wasn't an option but to use the AC since there wasn't a ceiling fan. The floors and appliances have been nicely upgraded. We would have appreciated better communication sooner with the host. We didn't get any specific directions about how to check in until we were there and it was after hours, so there was a bit of confusion with security. When we got in to the unit, the shower curtain and bar were on the floor. It took until the next day for that situation to be resolved (which is understandable), but we weren't assured of a fix until the next morning. There was a bag of dirty linens in the closet and no toiletries in the bathroom other than hand soap. The bed and couch were comfortable and clean. The view of Makaha Valley was beautiful! The only instructions we received about check out were to take out the trash, but there was no information about where to take it. We did figure it out. In other vrbo rentals, we have appreciated hosts that have been more communicative.
The check in process was a pain. It is definitely off the beaten path. Where it is located is a great location. The area to get there is a little rough. The unit was just as described. The owners were very quick in responding to any concerns or questions we had!
This condo is a beautiful slice of paradise in the most beautiful and peaceful spot on Oahu. I stayed during the 4th of July and didn’t hear a single firework due to the quiet solitude. Vanessa, the owner, is a very responsive and helpful host, and I highly recommend this spot.
This place was extremely disappointing. From the start, we had issues—after arriving at 7pm, we waited over an hour just to park because management required a faxed authorization (seriously outdated and inconvenient). The property is poorly marked, confusing to navigate, and difficult to access due to one-way roads. While the peacocks are beautiful, they are very loud at night, and the thin walls make it hard to sleep. Staff interactions were consistently unprofessional, including an incident where security sprayed a peacock and hit us without apologizing. The unit itself was not well maintained, and overall upkeep across the property seems lacking. The advertised “resort-style amenities” were misleading—the pool was closed our entire stay despite repeated promises it would reopen “tomorrow.”Laundry was also frustrating, requiring multiple apps and trial-and-error to use. Parking was inconvenient, and access to staff was limited.Overall, aside from a nice view, this was a frustrating experience. I would not recommend staying here.
The studio was nice and clean. It was an end unit, which was awesome. The view of the mountains and the pool was so beautiful. I would rent again in a heart beat.
Absolutely loved our visit to Makaha Valley. Far enough away from tourists and close enough to anything you need during your stay. All the staff here were amazing! The only thing we could say was a down side was that the laundry room wasn’t working. Other than that, everything was perfect.

Sadly this was the poorest service of any vacation rental I've stayed in. There was no toilet paper, no hand soap, no hand towels, and the internet didn't work. We had to leave the rental early because of the historic floods in the area -- there are only two roads to the condo and one of them was already impassable due to the floods. The other road had moving water nearly up to our headlights too in several places. Not only did the host not reach out to check on us during the natural disaster, but they haven't responded to three messages since (asking for a partial refund due to the poorly stocked condo and internet problem). The sum impression of the condition of the condo (e.g. no toilet paper or soap) and the total lack of response is that these hosts are trying to profit on the property with as little effort as possible. We had leave that part of the island because of the floods and book another place. When we reached our next rental, our new host immediately reached out to check on us and the apartment because of the weather -- this shows concern for the guests and the property, and is the bare minimum I would expect from a Vrbo host. Still hoping for a response to my three messages :(

Very cute studio. Check-in was ok. Staff was great but property owner had to be contacted again after I had reached out for the authorization to enter security gate. Kitchen was clean but minimal dishes/utensils. Only bath towels, no hand towels or wash cloths. Tub was very slick. It was very hot so a\c wasn’t cold. The area is beautiful and beaches close by.
The condos are open and breezy. Perfect view of the pool. VERY close to public beaches, local L&L, groceries, etc. The unit is very clean. Full bath/shower, plenty of towels. There’s AC but windows so large you don’t actually need it. Full kitchen, even a dishwasher. It is gated access, with an attendant at the gate 24/7. Make sure to notify the owner of your name so that you can get a Visitors Parking Pass. It’s beautiful, built right up to the mountains. Surrounded by lush palm trees and gorgeous peacocks roaming the property. This is not the same as staying in Honolulu. You get to feel more like a local, which I think is so much better! We would definitely stay here again.
What a gem! Location is excellent - 5 minutes drive near Makaha Beach (rougher waves, popular with locals), few more beach north of there or drive 5 minutes more south to Pokai Bay Beach Park is you prefer calmer and more quiet! Both felt safe, have spectacular views of Makaha Valley and feel more local than the hustle and bustle, touristy Waikiki. The drive into the Towers is jaw dropping! The condo is a roomy studio suite with large king-sized bed, fully stocked kitchen and bathroom, with a balcony with a view of the pool, BBQ area, and Makaha. The cold water bottles in the fridge was a nice touch especially after the long drive from the airport. Was able to sleep with the slide doors open for some fresh air although I wouldn't recommend it if u're a night owl and light sleeper; you can hear groundskeepers and pool guests talking as early as 7a. We didn't mind it as we loved waking up to the sounds of birds and peacocks...yes peacocks! Pool is lovely, slightly heated and is saltwater. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!A few minor things for the host to keep in mind for future guests:1) host is very communicative leading up to check-in, but silent once you're in the condo. I communicated via VRBO and text but no response. It was a holiday week so that might be a reason but it would have given us a peace of mind if they were a little more responsive.2) Laundry is included as an amenity. explicit instruction on usage would have been excellent.
