If undisclosed animals are brought into the home without AvantStay's approval, there is a fine of $500 per pet. - Although the house is pet friendly, the outdoor area is not fully fenced. - Fireplaces are not for guest use. - Please note that due to natural coastal conditions, beach areas may experience periodic erosion that can affect shoreline size and accessibility. During periods of high tide, portions of the beach—or the entire beach—may be temporarily inaccessible. Parking Details: - Parking is available for 2 cars at the front of the property, only steps from the entry door.
This is a smoke-free property. Violation of the no-smoking policy will result in forfeiture of the security deposit, a $300 smoking fee, and liability for any fire or property damage costs.
As part of our commitment to being good neighbors, occupancy limits and quiet hours (9pm-8am) are strictly enforced. No speakers or sound systems will be provided for use in our properties. Violation of any noise ordinances will be subject to fines that can reach up to $10,000 per violation.
Events or parties are not allowed without prior written approval and an additional fee. Any unauthorized parties or events will be shut down and a fine will be assessed. Please inquire for more information about our event policies and fees.

We've enhanced our cleaning and sanitation protocols and are taking extra care to disinfect all surfaces between reservations with hospital-grade disinfecting solutions.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at this property a lot. It was clean, had everything we needed and felt very homey to us. The bed was very comfortable and the electric fireplace in the living room was a very special touch. We lacked for nothing and will definitely stay here again when we are back in the area.

The amenities were good and the place was clean. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen island and seating were perfect for meals and playing games. There were just a few things we noticed : The screen door to enter the property doesn’t fit the track properly and fell out. The shared bath shower does not stay shut. The first bedroom could use a mirror and ceiling fan. Not enough large size plates and the baking sheets provided do not fit it the oven. Either wise we would stay here again. Price was competitive for the amenities and the location is great!

Overall property was fine and met our needs - the one thing that would make us not stay again was the lack of hot water for showers- the first person could barely get a hot shower and the second person could not without waiting 20 -30minutes And really water was just warm at that. We had 4 people at one point staying and 4 showers took us all morning to achieve. Also small bathroom shower leaks outside shower door. Otherwise the home was very good for our needs - good location, clean, good for our dog, bedrooms nice size , great closet and drawer space , clean - kitchen could be better stocked . The lack of hot water is kind of a deal breaker unfortunately - if that could be adjusted we would probably rent here again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Cannon Cottage! It was the perfect location for everything Mt. Pleasant, Shem Creek, and The Old Village have to offer. The bedrooms were nice and spacious with king beds. The decor was beautiful, and the layout was perfect for relaxing (indoors or outdoors) after a busy day. We dined in a few times and ate at the large island area. There was plenty of room and everything you might need in the kitchen. We definitely will be back to stay again at this gem!
