This property is amazing and in the best location. So very clean and stylish. Had everything we needed for our stay. Check-in and check-out process was very easy. Communication with Host was great. Would definitely recommend a stay on and we are already talking about our next trip there. It was perfect.
The house was clean and in a great location. It was listed as accommodating up to 8 people but only one room had a queen bed. The others were doubles although the rooms had space for larger beds. The kitchen table was small, with only four chairs. The living room is very small, with uncomfortable furniture that would not seat up to 8. There is a light on in the front that can’t be turned off that shines into two of the bedrooms despite the blinds. The kitchen was not well equipped, with only one large soup pot and a couple of frying pans that food stuck to. Knives were not good. Otherwise the kitchen was ok.Host was not very responsive and when they did respond to a question they were not helpful. Lots of design details were not well thought out in the remodel of this house. This place was ok for our group but for the price we expected better. NOTE that the dock in the back doesn’t have a railing and wouldn’t be safe for small children.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback, and we’re glad you found the home clean and the location great. The furniture is intended to be for a beach house near sand, shells and island debris, therefore, the furniture must withstand these conditions on a regular basis. Regarding sleeping arrangements, the listing notes the bed sizes (one queen and additional full/double beds), and we encourage guests to review the photos/description closely and reach out in advance if specific bed sizes or seating needs are important for their group.
We’re sorry to hear the front light affected two bedrooms—this has been reviewed so it won’t be an issue moving forward. We also appreciate the kitchen notes; we strive to keep the home fully equipped as a beach house that is for short stays, most people like to eat out to enjoy the island, it is not intended to offer a large array of cooking pans such as roast pans, platters, etc. Based on your feedback we’ve since added additional cookware and upgraded/replaced items like the pans and knives to improve the cooking experience.
We take responsiveness seriously and apologize if our communication didn’t meet expectations during your stay—we’re reviewing this internally to ensure quicker, more helpful support. We did provide a nice and warm welcome upon your arrival by sending a over 40 bottles of water, cookies and popcorn for your enjoyment.
Lastly, thank you for highlighting the dock. As shown in the listing photos, it does not have a railing and the property is not advertised as child-proofed; the dock area requires close adult supervision and may not be suitable for young children. We have notated the listing to note young children cannot be near the dock unsupervised. We appreciate your comments and will use them to keep improving the guest experience.

We were very pleased with the overall atmosphere, cleanliness and layout of the house. We did quite a lot of cooking for family meals and found the kitchen to be very well appointed and easy to clean up. We were a family of 5 so the table wasn't big enough but the nearby seating at the bar made that no problem. We also used the grill and it worked great. We had an initial panic when we landed in Florida I realized the email that I had glanced at that the subject was labeled 'Access to your stay' did not actually contain the access code. None of the contact info listed on the VRBO website led us to someone that could help us. However, when we arrived at the house, still at this point not sure if we would be sleeping in the van or not, there was a sign out front of the local property management company. We called that number, which was answered immediately by someone that got us the access code. So in the end it was resolved, just had a pretty worried. We also called that local number and sent messages via VRBO about issues with one of the bikes. They said they would bring us something to fix it and never did and then when we tried to contact them again the call went to someone's voicemail that said to contact the local office (which is the number that I had called and had gotten forwarded to the voicemail) I left another message and we were never contacted again. We were pretty disappointed because the bikes were a really fun way to explore the island.

The location was fantastic! The home was very clean. This property was advertised as "perfect for large groups", with "plenty of comfy seating" and a "spacious living room". The living room area was VERY small. The couch and one chair were barely sufficient to accommodate the 3 of us. It was THE MOST UNCOMFORTABLE furniture, made of rattan. For the space, the large screen TV was almost too big. If you plan on relaxing in the evening while watching TV, this is not the home you want. The dining area consisted of a small plastic table, with 4 plastic chairs. There were 4 bar seats at the counter, but when most people are sharing a meal, they like to be all seated at the same table. The kitchen was minimally stocked with pots, pans, and very few cooking utensils. The bedroom mattresses were foam and were "ok", clean, comfortable sheets, pillows, and comforters. The Master had acceptable nightstands on either side of the bed. The other 3 bedrooms, however, had cheap, metal "pretend" nightstands one might find at the dollar store. The bathrooms were clean. 2 showers were plumbed incorrectly, in that in order to turn on the shower, one had to reach deep into the enclosure and get wet before one could adjust the heat / water flow. One of the showers did not drain properly. We called maintenance after the first day. No one ever contacted us and the issue was not resolved during our stay. With a price tag of almost 450 a night we would definitely not go back.

Thank you for your feedback and for noting the fantastic location and cleanliness. Our beach house consistently receives very high ratings, and the living room, seating, and layout are exactly as shown and described in the listing, furnished with durable rattan pieces specifically chosen to withstand sand and beach wear. The bedrooms all have premium 12" Zinus foam mattresses, which most guests find very comfortable, and the kitchen is intentionally stocked for a few days at the beach and shorter stays rather than long-term, gourmet cooking. Our records show that our team responded to each request during your stay, but we’re sorry the home didn’t match your personal preferences.
