This home was perfect for our stay in Sacramento. Clean and equiped with everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. The decor struck a nice balance of home like comfort and get away fun. The host was very considerate. We would definitely stay here again on a return trip.

Wonderful location and what a charming property. Second story walk up with a great streetside balcony for morning sunrise. Walking distance to coffee house and great restaurants in a very quiet neighborhood.

This is the second time I have stayed at this property. It has all the amenities needed; kitchen is well equipped and the beds are comfortable. It is in a good location to walk to restaurants, workouts, and downtown which is where I come for work. There is construction going on in the building next door but it is almost completed and it is still very quiet at night.

I cannot emphasize enough what an incredible stay my family had here. Everything is gorgeous, impeccably clean, comfortable, and well-equipped to help you have a peaceful, easy stay. Thoughtful touches like coffee and tea, cooking oils, food storage; plenty of beautiful dishes and glassware; and a well-outfitted cooking/baking cabinet (along with serving dishes!) allowed us to fully use the kitchen. I can’t get over how lovely our experience was; it was so hard to leave, as it truly felt like our home away from home. Also - the photos do not do this space justice; every bit of this apartment is beautifully designed and decorated. We would love to stay here next time we’re in town. Thank you for a wonderful space to relax!

The host was very responsive and replied immediately when a small issue arose with the door code not matching. The home was lovely, provided lots of amenities and conveniently located for attendance at a conference. There was even a parking pass for street parking. I’d happily stay here again.

Great place and would definitely stay again! When you open the door there are immediately steps to go up to the upper level. Opens up to the living room, dining room and kitchen. Great bedrooms, comfortable beds, fabulous decor. Superb air conditioning! Right next to “Fat” alley that Uber can pull right into if needed. Coffee house right across the street. Get the Match Latte with lavendar! Amazing. We also went to the California State Train Museum. Don’t miss this! You can walk easily to so many places. Took about 15-17 min to walk to Golden one! Host was very responsive and answered sooo many of my questions! Thank is for a great stay!!

Thanks for reaching out and letting us know so that we could remedy the issue right away. This is something the cleaner / maid service should have attend to. We have since followed up with them to ensure its not happening in the future. Thanks again for staying with us!

We stayed over the holiday weekend for a convention. The host was truly wonderful. Communication was easy and so quick to reply. As for the property, the only negative, and it wasn’t even a negative was a conversation worker was double parked so I couldn’t see the property address. I just rolled down my window and yelled at the guy to tell me what the address on the house was since his big truck was blocking the view. The residence was beautiful. I love all of the detailing in the decor. I’m a sucker for a skeleton key. The beds were so comfortable! There were even little snacks available for us, which I thought was a lovely little treat! I would definitely recommend staying here, and I will be looking for this listing again next year.

Thank you Lindsay for the great review and sorry for any initial confusion due to the construction workers next door. We are in close contact with them and we look forward for to them wrapping that project up! Please come back and stay any time!

Overall property was great and the unit was just as described. Beds are good, kitchen is fully equipped. We had a hard time checking in with the lock code. But the property owner responded very quickly. It appears to be a newer unit and some upkeep needed to be done in the front yard. Also, for the short term there is a large building under construction next to it. It can be loud in a weekday morning, but I would say after November it would be completed. It didn't bother me because I had to go to work. I would imagine the weekends are fine too. The neighborhood is good and there are restaurants in walking distance. Also The Academy is a great workout spot.

Thank you for choosing The Parlor House — I’m so glad to hear you enjoyed your stay! I’m sorry again for the technical hiccup during your arrival, and I’m happy we were able to resolve it quickly so it didn’t affect the rest of your visit. We’re also hopeful the nearby construction wraps up soon and excited for the fresh energy it will bring to the neighborhood. Thanks again, and we’d love to welcome you back anytime in the future!

This was a wonderful find! I look forward to staying again. There is one recommendation I would like to make. The stairs don’t have a handrail and they would feel safer with one.
