Great location — walkable to Newport Avenue, the beach, and plenty of restaurants. The house itself is large, clean, and comfortable, with a beautiful yard and ocean view. Beds were comfortable and the host was responsive. Worth noting for lighter sleepers that there's some neighborhood noise and planes overhead, but nothing that impacted our stay.

This rental is pure gold! A private craftsman surrounded by a garden, stunning ocean views and fresh ocean breezes! It’s walkable to a medley of local OB spots. Sarah is honestly one of the best hosts I’ve had the pleasure of renting from, highly recommend!

Great location! Great home!

Our host was very responsive and the home was extremely welcoming. This was the perfect place for a family of 5 (kids 14, 12, and 2) to enjoy our vacation. Highly recommend.

The house is great and very well setup - 3 bedrooms each with their own full bath. The location is excellent - centrally located, close to the beach (but not too close). But - the best part is the view with an expansive ocean view. The home-made banana bread was an unexpected pleasant surprise!

We loved this beautiful house! Great location walking distance from anything you want, and cozy enough not to have to go anywhere. The pictures can't do justice to how spacious it is and the picturesque patios. We were there over Thanksgiving and had no issues with traffic or parking. The Wednesday farmers market was a treat, and the beach is truly an easy walk a few blocks away. Our host was friendly and communicative. We would definitely stay again!

Everything was exactly as promised on VRBO's website. We walked right in and made ourselves at home. Plenty of room for a group of seven to enjoy. Comfortable beds, large dining room, ample well stocked kitchen, great views of Ocean Beach from the dining room and the decks out back. Sheets, towels, shampoo, and conditioner were provided for indoors, and beach towels, beach chairs, an umbrella, and a wagon were provided for outdoors. Also some books, games, and sand toys were available for kids to use. You can walk to the beach just four blocks away. We stayed for nine nights, and only had rain one morning. The only drawback was the proximity to the airport. Planes were flying overhead from 6:30 in the morning until late into the night. The host was great. She came to introduce herself when we arrived, dropped off some fresh fruit and eggs, checked to see if we needed anything for our stay, and gave us her phone number in case we had any questions or concerns. All in all, a great stay!

Very well kept home, a lot of thought was given for the guests, fresh fruit, coffee, banana bread etc etc…..all very kind things considering most won’t bring. Loved the fact the house has filtered drinking water. Appliances are all nice and new, made cooking a big family breakfast a breeze! Cooking towels, paper towels etc were fully available and appreciated!!!!The view of the ocean is amazing from this property!!!!!!

My family and I absolutely loved this home and will definitely be back. The home is the perfect balance of homey and beachy and was more than adequately stocked with everything you need to cook if you choose to. If not, the location is perfect for walking to one of the many restaurants in the area, as well as the beach and Sunset Cliffs. The pictures were totally accurate and I would highly recommend this home!

We traveled with 5 other people and everyone enjoyed their stay. The views are amazing! Very comfortable beds and very clean. We really appreciated the fully stocked kitchen for meals we wanted to prepare on our own. Plenty of dishes, silverware, cookware, aluminum foil, etc. Sarah is an excellent host and responded quickly to all of our questions. We would definitely stay here again!

The home is even more beautiful than shown in the pictures - the views of the ocean from the kitchen, dining room, and "sunroom" are fabulous. It is a lovingly restored craftsman home in which the original spirit of the house has been honored, while making it high end for guests in this century. We appreciated the way each room was distinctive in its furnishings, matched rugs and color schemes, while nodding to the history of the house. Also super nice to have a 3 BR/3BA house for our family! Sarah is an outstanding host. She kindly provided two huge fruit baskets for us, and fresh eggs too! She was highly responsive and helpful in advance of arrival and during our stay. The kitchen was well stocked with spices and appliances. A short (downhill) walk to the rocky beach - not a lot of sand but lots of wave action on the rocks when we were there (June 2026, high tides). We loved the burgers at Rosemarie's and appreciated the offerings at the grocery store Olive Tree Marketplace, both within walking distance of the house. Thank you, Sarah, for making your home available to our family. This was the best kind of VRBO experience, truly a rental by owner who cares deeply about the house and guest experience.
