Outlier Inn Tiny House 1 on Farm Upstate Catskills

Tiny House 1 is a year-round rustic cabin made from locally hewn rough cut lumber. It has a sleeping loft with a queen size bed and a single day bed, accommodating up to 3 guests. There is a full kitchen and bathroom as well as a deck with an outdoor dining table. There is central heat for the winter, window A/C units for the summer and a smart TV. Tiny House 1 guests can also enjoy a private picnic table, firepit and charcoal grill.

The Outlier Inn features 12 unique accommodation options, available for individual nightly bookings with a two night minimum. There are 7 year-round, winterized accommodations with private indoor facilities and heat, and 5 seasonal accommodations with private outhouses and communal outdoor kitchens, showers (hot water!), and dining. While there are communal gathering spaces on the property, each accommodation has it’s own privacy and it’s own picnic table, charcoal grill and firepit. Guests are encouraged to spend time interacting with our sheep, goats, alpacas and chickens, and perusing our 24 hour self-service Barn Shop. There is a spring-fed, swimmable pond on the property as well as a communal sauna, accessible by all guests. There is also a Rails-to-Trails hiking trail accessible from the property which leads to a park with a lake and children’s playground and to the neighboring hamlet of Mountaindale.

Welcome to The Outlier Inn!  Located in Mountaindale, NY the Inn sits on a beautiful 14 acre property and offers a relaxing and peaceful getaway from life in the big city.  We offer individual nightly stays as well as group rentals for retreats and events.  We have seven year-round, winterized accommodation options with private indoor facilities and heat plus five seasonal accommodations (April - November) with private outhouses and communal, outdoor kitchens, showers and dining areas.  Each accommodation is situated on the property to ensure a private experience and we have communal spaces as well for those who wish to socialize.  Each accommodation has a picnic table and charcoal grill and most have private firepits.  The Outlier Inn is also a farm with sheep, goats, alpacas, chickens, and a vegetable garden and we sell our own products as well as other local products in our self-service barn shop.  There is also a world-class recording studio on the premises and we offer studio tours and a studio experience to guests at an additional cost.The Inn is located outside of a cute hamlet with shops and restaurants and is close to many natural attractions such as swimming holes, hikes and waterfalls.  There is a park with a playground directly across the road as well as a Rails-to-Trails for a quick and easy nature walk.We hope to host you soon!!
