Winter Getaway

We really enjoyed our 2 week stay at the Villa Golf View. The beds and recliners were so comfortable and the heated pool was delightful. The fenced in back yard was very dog friendly, and we could tell how well the house was maintained with the weekly pool guy and lawn maintenance. There was a small issue with the clothes dryer that was resolved quickly. Renee, the House Manager, kept open communication lines between the home owner, the handyman, and us. Thank you, we really enjoyed our stay.

Great choice for us

Great location, quiet neighborhood and close to everything. The kitchen was very well stock, beds were comfortable and plenty of towels for indoors and outdoors. The fenced in yard was a God-sent for our dog, who enjoyed running without a leash on. And the notebook upon arrival had so much good info in it which saved us a lot of time and research. Property is described as "Golf Villa" and Pic shows it on golf course. It is not. Might have been a while back, not now. It's overgrown and used as a walking path. House floors dirty, cigarette burn in pillowcase, glass in driveway.

Home Away From Home

I certainly enjoyed my stay at Villa Golf View. Quiet is an understatement - sitting on the patio and only hearing birds singing is my idea of a vacation. The house was clean, the pool was great - and well cared for....The kitchen is stocked with every type of pot, pan, cooking element you could need. Furniture is very comfortable as are the bedrooms. If you are a Comcast Cable User good luck on trying to figure out the TV channels (Direct TV). if you need a day out, take a ride to the Seminole Casino - we had a fun time on a rainy day. Those who enjoy shopping, you will not have a problem finding a place to shop. House is pet friendly. I would definitely recommend Villa Golf View for those looking for a quiet, peaceful vacation.

SLIP AND FALL ACCIDENT

SLIP AND FALL ACCIDENT: On January 22, 2023 around 4:10 PM I noticed my brother in law Dale and his wife showed up so I was walking out the front door and stepped out with my right foot on to a piece of carpet with tile under it. My leg shot out and twisted and I landed on my left leg hard. I couldn't get up. Dale helped me get up and it felt like both knees were broke. I could hardly walk and I went to the hospital. I was in a lot of pain. At the property we stayed there is a screened in area in the front that is only about 4 or 5' deep and pretty wide with a roof over it. The problem is there's tile at the base and it's a screened in porch all the way around it. It had rained so along with the tile being wet the piece of carpet they had there had a rubber back to it which made it extremely dangerous. My suggestion would be to remove the tile and rough up the concrete so it is safe or the owners are going to be in for a huge slip and fall law suit.

No refridgeration

The property's main fridge in the kitchen was not working. My ice cream melted and groceries I have bought had to be thrown out. It took 4 days out of the 7 days to fix the fridge. The property manager was hard to reach. I asked for a refund just for groceries, and the refund was denied. Won't be staying with Roelens again. I go every year to Florida and this is the first time I went with this company. I treated the home as my own. I ensured I followed all the rules, but clearly getting a hold of a property manager was difficult. I finally bought a US phone so I could connect with Roelens, they ensured the handyman would come on Sunday, and asked me to stay while he was supposed to fix the fridge. Handy man didn't come until the 3rd time I called - which was Tuesday. Fridge was working on Wednesday. Honestly, who wants to deal with a handyman while on vacation? The property manager was away on Monday and Tuesday. They sent me a email on May 14th to use the fridge in the hot garage. I didn't get the email, but the other property manager could have let me know to use the old fridge. Its too bad, because the property is dated, but it was clean and the outside lawn and landscape was kept nice. Based on reading reviews from previous experiences, Roelens has the same poor excuse for all issues.

Manager was hard to get a hold of.

Disappointed with management I booked a last minute getaway for New Year’s Eve. We just wanted to get away from PA. for a couple days. 4 nights to be specific. I found this home managed by Roelens vacation on VRBO. My only search filter (other than southern Florida) , was a heated pool. It is something that I really enjoy. I was knowingly willing to pay more for it in January. We were met by a lovely associate (Evie). She was great. Called us early to find our ETA. Met us at property and answered all of our questions. She gave me a card for her supervisor Charlene if we had problems Let me say that the home was beautiful. Impeccably clean. Very safe neighborhood. I have never seen a home more stocked with anything thing we needed. Really above and beyond. I have nothing but the highest regard for the owner or cleaning crew. My problem was the pool heater was broken. I tried to reach out to Charlene. No answer, voicemail. She left a message stating she was on vacation and to call her supervisor Monica. Again, no answer just voicemail…. Back to Charlene…. My point is. Someone needs to be available. It could have been a break in, electrical fire, broken fridge. She did reach out to owner who scheduled a maintenance call. A broken line in unit and not working at all. Didn’t get fixed till the night before we left. Things break. I get it. Owner didn’t know and immediately got on it. I was bummed about cold pool,. It was the lack of a person to talk to , that bothered me. I paid good money for that house. No I wasn’t a monthly tenant, but I shouldn’t be treated any differently. It was New Year’s Eve, you were on vacation,.. no excuse when your in the hospitality business. Availability is everything. My 2 cents……

2021 Spring Break

Nice home, well equipped. We would stay again. Only complaint is we were told we had to clean the grill at the end of the trip. Not something we want to do at the end of vacation. Have not had to do that at other locations.

Nice place to quarantine

We enjoyed the pool. House was clean. Had everything as promised. Some pool equipment needs to be replaced, net and floats. Enjoyed being on the old golf course.

First time VRBO vacation

Property was what we expected, could use a little bit of a up date. The property was ready for a good deep clean. Such as the top of the curtains and light fixtures. All and all a nice stay. Property managers not very responsive to your problems.

Loved it!

Everything was wonderful. The property was clean and located in a nice quiet neighborhood. Pool was awesome and warm. Would definitely stay here again.

Perfect Place for the Holidays

Our experience was very good. Check in was a breeze. We arrived late due to traffic, but we had received checkin instructions about a week before. We also received reminder emails at various times, which we found very helpful. House as stocked very well, especially the kitchen. Pool was well taken care of and clean. Warm enough for our granddaughter to swim almost daily. Very short drive to a public beach and close to grocery stores. I’d recommend this home again—and even the rental company managing the property. We will look to them for our next trip.
