Custom cabin overlooking the McKenzie River. River access, hot tub, and solitude
Nestled in the forest just east of Springfield, this delightful cabin offers a loft with two cozy rooms with queen beds and skylights all around offering forested views from every space. Guests can enjoy a hot tub overlooking a mountain creek, river access just steps away and true solitude on 5 forested acres. Whether you're looking for a peaceful retreat or a fun-filled adventure, this adorable cabin is the perfect home base for your getaway. We're happy to assist with any questions while you stay at our cabin.
The entire cabin has been recently updated, with all new kitchen appliances, heated floors in the bathroom, and a luxury shower with two shower heads!
The back deck affords a spectacular view of the McKenzie River. Watch boats drift by all summer long and watch the wisps of mountain fog each morning during the winter. Salmon can be seen spawning in a gravel bed in September, and bald eagles and osprey are nesting in the forest behind the house. The property includes access to Alder Creek, which has a trail to a small waterfall accessible from the back deck.
Walk 200 feet west of the driveway to access one of the best swimming holes and fishing spots on the river. For folks who would like to float the river, there is a boat launch just up river at Deerhorn County park, and several launches down river at Taylor's boat landing and Hendricks Bridge.
During your stay you can book a fly fishing or rafting tour on the McKenzie, or hike in the Willamette National Forest just 30 miles up the McKenzie. We are happy to provide any hiking, biking, boating, skiing or other adventure suggestions!

Just great! Can’t say enough good things about this house and the hosts. Very relaxing location with amazing views. We will be staying here every time we visit Eugene.
This is a beautiful location! The house was adorable. All of our guests had a wonderful time. The power went out for a time, but the hosts were in contact right away and very helpful. We are already planning to come back in the summer!
The cabin was lovely. Interior was unexpectedly modern and chic. Amazing view of river, countryside, and mountains. Walking distance to river and the fishing was great. We caught several trout in one day and tried out other areas in the vicinity and caught there too. We had a fabulous stay!
To begin with we contacted the host Sarah before we even rented the place and she gave us all the info we needed to confirm this was the place we wanted to stay. When we got there it was even better than the pictures and descriptions provided. Alder creek is running next to the property for some great outdoor ambiance. The porch and big front windows looking at the river, the misty hills, and the McKenzie river valley was amazing. The interior was a great use of the space. The beds were comfortable and the shower was spa like. Yhe pellet stove kept us warm the whole time. The provided snacks were an unexpected plus. It was close enough to town that we could get some good food, but remote enough to really be able to relax. We look forward to staying here again. Maybe in the summer. Thank you again for giving us a great escape with no kids. It was much needed and very relaxing.
The views from the relaxing hot tub and the sound of the creek turned our “stay local” vacation into a natural adventure and paradise. No phones, no worries, all good vibes!!
