Home Away from Home includes all the amenities you need just like being at home. Newly decorated with new furnishings, full kitchen amenities, lovely spacious home with mountain views and amazing sunsets. Perfect for families and friends. Kiddie crayon corner, toys, books, and high chair. Fun for small children. Newly constructed private trail from the home to the Rancho Santa Lucia Overlook with beautiful mountain views to include a picnic table and seating areas.

The home has big screen TV's in all rooms, Direct TV, and plenty of room. "Rancho Santa Lucia Retreat" is located 9 miles SE of Santa Fe just off I-25 on Historic Route 66 and is adjacent to the Glorieta Battlefield National Historic Landmark. Plenty of trails for hiking, biking, and horseback riding. Great for hunters with overnight accommodations for your horses. Plenty of space for RV parking. Perfect home for family gatherings. Home has plenty of space inside and out.

The historical property home has 4 bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths, sun room, 2,200 sq. foot, carport and separate lighted covered patio with new BBQ grill and 5 seat patio table. This home is nestled in the mountains right off the Old Las Vegas Highway. No long dirt roads to travel, two (2) convenient exits onto I-25. Home newly remodeled with new furniture, linens, towels, kitchenware.

Enjoy the quiet solitude of this private country living retreat with gated private driveway entrance, safe and secure, beautiful mountain views. Watch the sunrise and sunset from one of three (3) private patios. Enjoy a BBQ with family and friends in the covered private courtyard, which includes a grille, outdoor furniture, and spectacular views of the Rowe Mesa. There are walkways around the landscaped home with family owned private trails leading to the historic Glorieta Battlefield National Historic Park. This land was owned by our family prior to becoming a national park.

The home includes 1 master bedroom with private bath that has a soaking tub and separate shower. 2 separate bedrooms adjoin a bathroom that has 2 sinks and a door that separates the toilet and bathtub/shower. A 4th smaller room serves as both a bedroom or office space that includes a desk. A half bath is accessible to the smaller room and laundry room that includes a full size washer and dryer.

The kitchen is newly renovated and and has new appliances and plenty of counter space. The dining table seats 6 and an additional dining area in the kitchen sits an additional 4 guests. Includes a small kids table and kiddie dishes. The main level area includes a fireplace with satellite television that is right around the corner from the kitchen/cooking/fun loving activities enjoyed w/family and friends.

The lower level access through french doors into a 500 sq. foot sun room with cathedral ceilings, hardwood floors, large picturesque windows with views of the mountains and stunning sunrise and evening skies, a romantic gas fireplace, bar area, and access to two separate furnished patios.

Near Ski Resorts, access to miles of roads and trails on the Rowe Mesa for for hiking, biking, ATV and horseback riding. Great for hunters for units 43, and 45.

Home includes Hi-speed Wi-Fi internet, Direct TV in all rooms and bedrooms have ROKU and smart TV.

Cozy and clean

Myrna and Roland were fantastic hosts. The property was clean (which is very important) and we loved the great room with a cozy fireplace. About 15 minutes to Santa Fe so it was perfect for day trips to local attractions. Would stay here again.

Lovely NM home, perfect place

We stayed here for easy access to a bike ride and were so happy. Friendly, helpful owners made sure the property was in perfect shape, that we had everything we needed and knew they were available for any questions. My stay in Santa Fe was everything that was expected. The home was very spacious and clean. The owner's met us as we arrived, give us a tour of the property, and gave us all the information required for us to have the great time that we have. We loved the indoor sitting room with the big picture windows And recovered seating area outside. We used those 2 areas the most and they provide us with an excellent space to unwind. Thank You

Nice, relaxing time with family

We had a great, relaxing time in Myrna’s and Roland’s home. The sun room is so cozy for the family gatherings - to watch the light change on the hills at sun set, to play games on the big table or to chat in front of the gas fireplace. The kitchen had anything we could have asked for and we slept very well in the comfortable beds. It’s less than 30 min to Santa Fe and was not too far from the ski slopes either. Thank you, Myrna and Roland for your great hospitality!

Labor Day Weekend Get Away

Property Managers were very nice and met us on arrival to assure we knew how to operate the air and toured the house with us. Due to Covid we only ran to Santa Fe for a quick visit to Trader Joe’s and to change a tire. Brought all our supplies and stayed at the house otherwise.

Wonderful!

This was the perfect place for our family of 8 and 2 pups. Hospitality Plus from Myrna and Roland. We had everything we needed and the house was super clean! Great place for the pups who need a little space for walks. We didn’t mind the 15 minute drive into Santa Fe, and it was nice to be outside of town with some space to watch sunsets and picnic.

Our family LOVED the house, views and peace & quiet. Perfect to reenergize your battery! The owners, Myrna and Roland, are the best! They heard that I had walking and other disability issues and they worked to add items that would make our stay memorable! The house is perfect for a large family or group. Property is very clean. The bed I slept in was as comfortable as Home. Anything we needed was provided from cotton balls to plastic spoons to trying the local pinion coffee. The owners were friendly and very knowledgeable about the area so seeing the sites and finding the grocery store was easy. They are true dog lovers and welcomed our dog as a special guest. If I ever make my way back to Santa Fe which was also beautiful, I would stay here again and highly recommend it to my friends and family.

It was a large house on a large property with 4 bedrooms and 2 1/2 bathrooms. The kitchen was spacious and had everything that we needed and had many spices and oils for cooking for 10 of us; we did a lot of eating, preparing and cleaning. They had a covered, detached, outdoor patio for the bbq grill where we grilled up steak, shrimp and veggies. The grill was new and was only used once before. The location was 15 miles from Santa Fe, we didn’t want to be in Santa Fe, just close to it. The only negative thing that I can think of was that it was a little close to the highway, so we could hear some of the traffic; but with the window closed we couldn’t hear it. We have booked many properties over the years and there are comparisons of price, bedrooms and bathrooms but what you can’t find out before getting there is how friendly and helpful the owners are. Roland and Myrna are very friendly and helpful and took time to spend with us and they welcomed us to come back.

Enjoyed our stay!

We went to Santa Fe with our son,daugher-in -law and grandson to check out a college. It worked out great staying there! Roland and Myrna were so friendly and helpful, Myrna even left us some frozen green chili peppers! The house was spacious, charming and clean. We had our son's dog with and that worked out great. We are hoping to stay there again on our next visit to Santa Fe.

Private Country Living with beautiful mountain views. Large home and property with gated entry. Perfect for family gatherings. Easy access from I-25 makes it a perfect neutral meeting place for visitors traveling North and South on I-25. There is plenty of space for parking and has a gated entry to ensure safety and privacy. The home is adjacent to the Historical Glorieta Battlefield National Park which was owned by our family. Our grandparents built the old church here in Canoncito. This land was used for cattle ranching. This property has alot of history.

What makes this property unique

Rancho Santa Lucia is a beautiful oasis nestled in the Canoncito area surrounded by beautiful mountain views. It has a private entrance to ensure your privacy and safety during your stay. There is plenty of rooms all of which have been newly furnished. The entire home was recently remodeled. We have included a covered BBQ Patio with new furniture. You can enjoy a romantic night while viewing the beautiful night skies on one of 3 patios. There is so much to do in Santa Fe and we are just fifteen minutes to the Plaza. This is a cozy Santa Fe retreat where you can relax in your own private oasis.
