Very cute, clean and well stocked. The back porch view with babbling stream is awesome. Never got tired of hearing it when we were there. Reasonably convenient to hiking and town. Would stay here again.

Perfect 3 nights. Not too far from the nightlife, but also very secluded. The brook/stream was the best part because of the wonderful sound it makes 24/7!

The only complaint that I have about this property is the smell of the interior. I stayed here two years ago and as soon as we turned the heat on, it smelled like cat urine. I spoke with the owner then via message and he assured me that it was probably because the weather had just turned cool enough to turn the heat on and they probably needed to put a new filter in the system. Maybe it was musty…the smell was difficult to put a name on, but it was definitely offensive. They gave us a reduction in the cost of the rental and we simply used the fireplace as heat instead of the heating system. We just returned to stay for another week and this time as soon as we open the door, there was a smell that was like a mix of musty, stinky clothes washing machine, and maybe some sort of essential oil. I did contact the owner again and in the meantime, we found that now they have some sort of smell machine that pumps essential oil into the vent system for the heating and cooling so it sounds like they know about this and have just been unable to properly correct it. The owner told me no one else has complained, but the presence of the essential oil injecting machine makes me think otherwise. It’s a really cool place and I think they could eliminate the smell by changing over to a mini split system. Unfortunately, I won’t be able to go back there again. We had to spend the entire week with the windows open and cycling the fireplace on and off along with leaving the bath vent fan running.

The property was exactly as described. Lovely location and home. Even though there were an number of snow and ice storms a contracted snow removal service can repeatedly to plow and spread sand. Communication with the host was excellent as they answered our questions very quickly. Would definitely recommend this property.

Great Place to Stay

Great place to stay for a weekend getaway. Location was private and peaceful, but close proximity to drive to Woodstock and Quechee. The view from the back windows and deck of the stream is lovely.
