It's fully equipped with all the linens and kitchen supplies you'll need, including a full spice rack, a high chair & pack-n-play. Even tennis racquets & balls! We've tried to think of everything!

Please ensure the bikes are locked and covered, if you used them during your stay.
Please set the A/C to 75 or the heat to 65.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
No smoking in the building's hallways. If you must, go out back to the green space and do NOT throw butts into the pine needles (fire hazzard!)

We really enjoyed almost everything about this place. The condo was well appointed, maintained and furnished. Everything from the kitchen equipment to the linens and towels, washer and dryer and the bikes were of very good quality. The gated community made one feel secure plus it was quiet. The public areas including the pool, exercise studio and the grounds were all well maintained with landscapers arriving weekly to trim and clean up. The location is convenient. You can walk to Win Dixie and a selection of restaurants in about 8-10 minutes, drive to the beach in 10 minutes and be across the causeway and in Brunswick in 15 minutes. This place is pet friendly which, with two dogs, was part of the reason we selected it. However, upon arrival it was so clean you would never have known there had ever been a dog in the condo. This place exceeded our expectations!

I'm a real estate broker, a wife, a dog mom, and I have a real obsession with Travel. Our vacation rental career began with a small condo on St Simons Island in 2019 that we were playing around with. That endeavor evolved into several properties with a growing desire for more. So far, I haven't found anything more fun in my life then hosting guests.

Why they chose this property

We owned one of these units back in 2021-2023 & sold it to buy a larger, free-standing home in Sea Palms Golf Resort. I always loved this community, for everything it offers, including the trees, spanish moss, shade & quiet/private location, tucked away from the hustle & bustle of the Island, but still close enough for good walkability & bike riding. So when the time came to acquire another property, I went right back to Island Retreat.

What makes this property unique

It's ground floor, which I really really love, as there are zero steps. It's got a great floor plan with two bedroom suites that provide privacy, but the cozy little nook off the family room with the twin trundle bed is so perfect for kids, we've set it up to be really family-friendly, with a pack-n-play, high chair & games. Having the pool, fitness center & playground within a few steps of the unit makes it really nice to keep kids occupied. There is hardly ever anyone using the pool or other amenities, so you kind of have it all to yourself most of the time. I also love that it has a car vac, because we know what the beach will do to your car, so it's so nice to be able to vacuum all that sand out before heading home. I really like that there is a green space behind our unit for grilling and picnicking and that the bike storage is right there.
