About this property

LARGE Private Waterfront Mountain Cabin. Fairplay, Colorado

Enjoy 5+ VERY PRIVATE acres, and two all log luxury cabins connected by a game/bunk room. 2 full kitchens, 5 bedrooms, 7 beds (4 are king), wet bar, loft/office space (excellent internet) garage parking.

The lake, land and trees are exceptional. This 10,000 ft elevation location is breathtaking and convenient, just ONE MILE to the local town of Fairplay.
35 minutes to Breckenridge. 40min to Buena Vista. 90 miles to Denver
2 car garage, good water, wildlife. Wood fires, hot tub, all the comforts! We welcome everyone!

The space
Enter down a long Aspen tree tunnel driveway. Then you see the lake and take a deep breath. You have space and fresh air, complete privacy.

The cabins are very comfortable, well stocked and spacious. Both are 100% log and rugged but upscale and tastefully decorated. They are connected by a game room with wet bar and gathering area. Closing one door creates private space for 2 or 3 groups with 2 full kitchens and a total of 4 ovens. Each area has a designated bathroom, 5 bathrooms total.

This property is truly waterfront! Stark's Pond is just outside the front door. Two paddle boards are provided. Fishing is allowed with a license. Enjoy the frequent wild visitors including moose, elk and deer.

All 7 beds are hotel quality with soft linens and comfy pillows. Humidifiers are provided, washer/dryer available, all the comforts of home.

In addition to the 3600 finished sf, soak up the sun on the 1300sf of enclosed deck or shade under the covered porch in a rocking chair. Enjoy your meals indoors and outdoors, then relax by the fire or warm up in the private, professionally maintained hot tub. For the kids, there's a swing set, reading nook, bunk bed and a trail through the woods. If you really have to work, the office/loft space has a massage chair and excellent internet.

This land is exceptional and a guest favorite. It's 5 private acres but surrounded by much more undeveloped and BLM land. You cannot see any neighbors from the cabin.

Access is easy! AWD/4WD is not necessary, but probably a good idea in the winter months. Silverheels Rd connects to Highway 285, it's paved right up to the driveway. The dirt driveway is mostly flat and is plowed regularly.

The elevation is 10,000 feet. Please note this when you compare to others. The weather is a little more mild and you will breathe easier.

The cabin is absolutely perfect! Beautiful location, feels remote but very close to town. Everything was clean and beds were comfortable. The hot tub was perfect after a long hike. The space is utilized perfectly to accommodate a big group but allow privacy. The bunk beds in the game room can be closed off and the king bed in the living area is tucked away with privacy curtains. A very nice touch. The toiletries and amenities in the bathrooms were very nice. Our pups had a great time and they had a nice outdoor trash bin and doggy bags to pick up after them and water bowls. The host is very friendly, helpful, and easy to communicate with. It was perfect for our group of 10 and we all had such a wonderful time! I would love to come back and stay again.

Great spot to get away. House is very well divided for those that want to stay up a bit and those interested in sleep. Close to town but had everything we needed. Great views and privacy. Good for a family or two!
