The vacation rental name " Villa Mar a Lago" is because our property has direct ocean access in front and direct lake access on the back side, it is located in the central Pacific region of Costa Rica in a large sandy beach. Beautiful and wild beach with hundreds of coconuts trees along the 14 km sand beach. On its back a spectacular mangrove recognized for its great variety of birds and wildlife.
This "Mediterranean" style house totals 2.830 square feet of living area with a total of 4 bedrooms.
Some of the many amenities includes direct beach front access direct lake front, wonderful views, big swimming pool, green area, gardens
The house features: 1 Master bedroom with flat screen tv 42, 1 king size bed, jacuzzi, double sink, shower, closet, terrace.
Second bedroom: flat screen tv. 32 , 1 king size bed, shower, closet.
Third bedroom: 1 twin size bunk bed, small jaccuzi/ shower and balcony.
Studio: Space for 2 guests, one king size bed and full equipped kitchen
Kitchen: full equipped kitchen, poggen polh furniture, microwave, dish washer, refrigerator with ice maker.

We had a wonderful stay here with our family. The location worked extremely well for exploring Manuel Antonio, Quepos, the beaches, and the surrounding area. The property was comfortable and gave us a great place to relax together after being out all day. A fantastic second stop on our Costa Rica trip and somewhere we’d gladly recommend to other families.

This property is amazing , the pictures do not do it justice. Lucy is the lady who is in charge of property she is amazing as her husband they take great care of the home. If you want quiet peaceful and away from all the busy stuff this is the place , yet if your wanting to be around all the activities they are only 30-40 mint drive. We are booking our return vacation as soon as we get home and settle our finances lol…

Amazing, amazing, amazing! Best VRBO we have ever stayed at. Lucy was so sweet and helped us so much! She even made a traditional breakfast for us the morning we left. Luis was great, he cut open coconuts for us and he and Lucy built a bonfire for us on the beach. What an amazing time! We will miss Lucy and Luis so much! Highly recommend!

My family of 4 just returned from our stay. We really enjoyed our visit and found the house to be a nice getaway from the city. The beach was peaceful and the property was beautiful. Lucy and Louise were amazing and the trip would not have been the same without them.

We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful home in Palo Seco! If you’re wanting to experience authentic Costa Rica, this is the perfect destination. The house was beautiful and well equipped and we absolutely LOVED our on-site host, Lucy. She lives on the property and takes excellent care of guests. She cooked dinner for us two of the mornings we were there and it was so good! Our teenage girls kept saying how much they missed Lucy’s breakfast throughout the rest of our trip! The highlight of the stay was the beautiful beach steps from the house. The girls loved it and it was so nice to watch the sun rise and set right on the water. It was incredibly private too. Truly your own little slice of paradise. I would highly recommend staying here!

We had everything we needed for a beautiful stay and the property manager is on site, lovely, and was willing and able to provide what ever we needed including 2 wonderful meals! Minor issue with the hot water for showers but frankly with the air temp and humidity it was refreshing and we did not ask to have it fixed!! It is off the beaten path and 50-60 minutes from sight seeing but worth it for the privacy, quiet and calm down time. Wonderful! Thank you for your attention to our every need Lucy and Luis!

We had such a beautiful stay at Mar a Lago. Everything in the house was perfect and the grounds are stunning. Luci should be added as an amenity because we so enjoyed her food and company. We would certainly return here for another stay.

Mar-a-lago is a stunning beach property! It was the perfect place for our family of 4, with plenty of extra room. Lucy & Luis do an amazing job of managing the house and the surrounding property. There are lots of sun & shade seating options while outside either on the beach or in the pool. There is a lot of animal watching as well, we saw sloths, crabs and lots of birds. The black sand beach was a fantastic experience and the ocean water was warm enough to swim in. The beach is a true private beach, we saw maybe 5 other people on the beach in the 4 days that we stayed at the property. The pool is much larger than the pictures indicate. The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable. Our time at this property was truly relaxing, with the ability to completely disconnect & relax. We began our trip to San Jose and then Arenal Volcano, out stay at the beach was the best way to end our trip to such a beautiful country. 10/10 highly recommend this property!

Lucy and Luis made our stay in Costa Rica extra special! Lucy is a ray of sunshine, radiating joy! The property was amazing… exceeded our expectations! Walks on the beach were incredible at sunrise and sunset! So quiet and secluded, very few people. Take a boat tour with the neighbor I believe his name is Rafael. We had the best time in the mangroves with the monkeys! Can’t give this place enough stars!

This house was so beautiful with wide open spaces downstairs. The kitchen was easy to navigate and had what we needed to make a quick breakfast. Outside was a refreshing pool and the grounds were stunning. The massive beach was only a few meters away and the sunsets were breathtaking. Communication with the host was easy and Lucy was absolutely delightful!

Maria was an excellent host very easy to contact and very helpful with several things I was trying to accomplish on this trip. The house and grounds were fabulous and the onsite caretakers were incredible and always available to assist with anything we needed. They did this all without being intrusive. The pool has to be one of the largest in the area. It was my favorite amenity.

The house was amazing! Staying here felt so luxurious for our family of 4. We enjoyed being a 1 minute walk from the house to get to the beach. The hammocks strung under coconut trees were a highlight. Lusi made us feel welcome, greeting us with a smile and making sure we were taken care of. Such great hospitality! We also enjoying the pool and seeing the monkeys pass through once or twice a day. My daughter really enjoyed drinking from coconuts too. We would definitely stay here again and miss it already! Truly a paradise!
